The air was perfumed with the scent of fresh roses and lavender, adding an intoxicating sweetness to the atmosphere. The path itself led to a secluded area, where a lone table stood in the middle of a heart-shaped arrangement of rose petals. The petals were a deep red, their velvety texture catching the flickering light of the candles that surrounded the table, adding a soft, romantic glow. The table was elegantly set with fine china, crystal glasses, and silverware that gleamed in the light. Three chairs were arranged around it, their backs adorned with delicate garlands of flowers, as if nature itself had blessed this moment.

It had this relaxing vibe due to how marvellously wooden patterns were mixed together for the decorations. The tables were made like small booths that could accommodate a group of friends with privacy screens. There was a hanging strawberry bush. Like I was not kidding a strawberry bush with actually ripe strawberries hung above every table and could be remotely controlled if you wanted some. There was no cost for the amount of strawberries eaten. That aside, flower pots were sparsely arranged throughout the floor at strategic positions. The entire step up was perfectly put together. Red and white petals were floating on the crystal clear blue water with lanterns placed around the edges of the pool. On one corner, there was a tray of food covered with a dome-shaped steel cover like those used by butlers in period English dramas. It was placed on a small wooden table. A bucket filled with ice and pink roses held one bottle of champagne. I could also make out a platter of fruits and sweets on another small table just next to the table with the food.

But she was sure, as much as she was excited to explore, that the rest of the palace would be very beautiful. It had towering arched windows which were draped in heavy gold and wine-red curtains. The table in front of her was a grand mahogany table that could easily sit about 40 people. On it were beautiful crystal goblets designed with what Thalia was sure looked like diamonds.
