He smiled sweetly at me and reached out to touch my belly, but someone walked in, forcing him to pull his hand back. “Alpha Xavier…” Ginny called out lovingly. She was the she-wolf he was supposed to be mated to, being the daughter of the highest-ranking elder in his council, but he didn’t seem to have any affection for her. Still, she kept pushing things. One couldn’t blame her though—who wouldn’t want a man like Xavier beside her? As soon as her eyes landed on me beside Xavier and then slowly dropped to my belly, her smile disappeared, replaced quickly by a frown when she realized he was about to caress my stomach.

Luca pulled Belle to his side. "Hazel, can you please stitch his jaw?" Carter asked the girl with black hair. "Ok." Hazel nodded her head and started doing her job. "Mac, keep on tracking those two assholes." Belle removed the dust from her pants and walked out. She walked upstairs and entered a room. There was a table in the middle and was surrounded by piles of papers. On the table, there was a model of a building. Belle trailed her fingers on the model and let out an exhausted sigh. The ringing of her phone brought her out of a trance.

And then they ran into Belle and her parents. Belle froze in shock when she saw Renee approaching with Bastian. Mr. Watson’s displeased expression was obvious, though he tried to restrain it in front of Renee. “Mr. and Mrs. Watson, I’m so glad you could make it tonight,” Renee greeted warmly, glancing at Belle. “And… Belle, of course.” “How have you been?” Mrs. Watson asked politely. “You look very happy, Renee.” “Of course I am, Mrs. Watson. My future husband here is the most reliable man I know.” Renee patted Bastian’s arm gently. “So caring. Always protecting me.”

Good thing her heat cycle had ended a week ago. Lee listened to the one sided conversation. "Torrance, how are you? It's Baxter. I have one of yours here, Ben, took off with the rogue Gary. Must be nice! As the reinforcements rush in, I let out a sigh of relief. Now I know for sure no one will harm my pup. As I look around, I spot Peter and scowl. It's obvious who he's looking for! I shouldn't be bitter but he did deceive and use me like a discount doll. I have every right to be angry. I watch him rush off but as he disappears, Belle starts to whine in my head. I said quickly. “That must be Belle you are referring to. I remember her. She is currently engaged and is working in her fiance's hospital. I don't think she is the kind of girl to go around looking for trouble.” Belle replied with a yawn. “I'm sorry El.” “Get some rest Becky, then text me the full details in the morning.” I said. “Alright El. One week after we moved into my apartment, Belle had a dip in her health. “She won't eat or what does that mean?” asked Natalia in a huff. She wasn't as calm as I was.
