Bite Me, My Fated Alpha King
We had to be prepared.
Theonardo pulled a lighter from his pocket, his eyes settling on the flame as he lit it, it shining brightly as the sun continued to set. He seemed to hesitate for a second, before dropping the lighter, the flame still alight. The books and photos were immediately engulfed in flames, and the smell of burning hit my nose like a ton of bricks.
Theonardo took my hand, pulling me away from the growing fire as we both stood watching it. Neither one of us spoke as we watched Theonardo's memories with his best friend burn right before our eyes, the tongues of fire growing higher and higher, reaching up to the sky.
