It was, I realized, not very subtle. "It's about second chances," I said finally. "But not the kind where you get back together with someone. The kind where you give yourself a second chance." Priya was quiet for a moment. Then she said, "I think that's the only kind that matters." --- Leo and Sam completed our little quartet. The conversation died down as we stared in the direction of the footfalls. “BABYYY!” “It’s Pierre,” Romeo said with a silly grin. If I didn’t know better, I would think he had hots for him. Tracy yelled again . " I love your brother Tracy ! I know you don't want your friend to date your brother and all that but what should I do when I love him so much and can't do without him ?" Kheera yelled back . I blushed lightly at her confession despite how serious the situation is . Tracy gasped with shock again and gave a mockery smile . " I don't want you dating my brother and that's final ! ". Tracy said and I knew I had to come in at that moment .

I look at my back and that's when I felt an excruciating pain. "I'm fine, it's actually nothing." I said before walking pass him and out of the house. Ethan followed after me. "I'll apologize like as a friend. I'm sorry for hurting you sister, Ethan. But I'm not the enemy here" I said. "I'm sorry I hurt Nina while you had to deal with everything. You're my friend." He said. He received a picture that's how he knew. He must have been threatened. My phone beeps. {You don't deserve his friendship} it was a message from the unknown number. I sigh in frustration.

I’ve seen witnessed Pietro murder a man like he was changing a piece of clothing and I know he won’t hesitate to get rid of anyone who gets in his way. "Celia, please put your phone down. It's fine." I told her, my voice quaking. Pietro still hasn’t looked away from me, which was good. Hopefully, Celia could get out of this unscathed. "Let my friend go," I ordered, with more confidence than I felt. He didn't answer. I would have thought he didn’t hear me if his head didn’t tilt in response, but his eyes continued to dissect me. "Let her go and I’ll come with you," I offered.

“Well, it’s been a while since you’ve been out there, dating and all. Maybe it wouldn’t hurt to give it a shot, you know, for Sofia’s sake.” Pietro chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement. “Ah, so you’ve been bitten by the matchmaking bug too, eh?” Emilio grinned sheepishly. “Maybe just a little. But seriously, Pietro, you’re a great guy. You deserve to find someone who makes you happy.” Pietro’s expression softened, touched by his friend’s words. “Thank you, Emilio. That means a lot, really.” The two men shared a moment of quiet understanding, the warmth of their friendship filling the space between them.

Bianca took a sip and judging on the look on her face, she did not like it. “So you say,” I muttered, stealing her attention. “But I don’t remember Pietro having any childhood friend.” The corner of her lips lifted. “Of course you wouldn’t. Pietro and I had been friends before you even met him.” I chuckled and stared at her in disbelief. Is she bluffing right now? Pietro is a recluse who preferred to be alone. Not only that, he is cold to others too that kids his age were intimidated by him. I couldn’t imagine him having childhood friends, especially from the opposite sex.

"Who do you think you are, bringing this trash in here? Wendy already got me copies of her private tutor's notes. We're talking questions written by a professor, one from the prestigious Hartwell University. Something a failing student like you scratched together belongs in the garbage." The torn edge of the paper caught my cheek and left a thin cut. I looked at Samantha's smug expression. She was so emboldened by having someone powerful backing her. Any lingering attachment I still had toward our friendship vanished. "Samantha." My voice came out calm, and somehow the laughter around us faded.
