"And what reason would that be?" Damien didn’t hesitate. "I came to tell you not to invest with the Cruz," he said firmly. "If you do, you’ll lose far more than money." "Why?" Mr. Xiao asked, intrigued. "Why are you so sure?"

Damien greeted me and i leaned across and kissed him on the lips “Good morning babe” I say, Susan and Lily start to cough awkwardly and i looked at them with an eyebrow “What?, do you need water?" I asked innocently and Damien laughed, the car had started to move already. I booked an hotel close to your home" Damien says and i smile “Oh that’s perfect, i could come over” i say and he smiles, leaning closer to me “Please keep it PG 13 in here" Lily yelled and Damien chuckled, i threw her a fake glare

Liam said, feeling himself. While Damien just scoff, picking up the spoon,he threw it across the room, using thier hands to dish out the food instead. Damien suddenly stop. “There’s paprika in this food?”. He asked crystal. “Yeah why? It’s part of the ingredients”. “Oh no”. Liam gasped. “Liam is allergic to them”. Damien whispered.

* But the universe had other plans. During the morning strategy meeting, a new face sat across the table. **Damien Black** — the sharp, ridiculously handsome VP from their London branch who’d just transferred over. Tall, lean-muscled, with tousled dark hair, piercing green eyes, and a charming smile that screamed “trouble.” He was younger than Rhys, maybe thirty-two, and carried himself with effortless confidence. His eyes kept drifting to Lila throughout the meeting. When it ended, he approached her desk with a smooth grin.

"Miss me?" Damien.

“No.” His eyes lifted toward mine slowly. “I made things clear.” For a second neither of us moved. Then Dante's phone rang sharply from across the room. He answered quickly, his expression changing almost immediately. Every instinct in my body sharpened. “What?” I asked. Dante looked up slowly, tension pulling hard across his face now. “There's been another hit.” My jaw tightened instantly. “Where” His eyes shifted briefly towards Imran before landing back on me. “One of the storage locations connected to the files.”

"Your name and where you come from—if you want things handled in your favor." The assassin's eyes darted between us—lingering on Vad, then Nox next, before finally settling on me. And I held the urge to punch his face. "Maybe I should—" Vad started forward, but the assassin broke. "Damien. That’s my name. Damien from Moonviel Pack." Of course. My pack. My chest tightened. "Why were you sent here?" Nox's questioned. Damien's chains rattled as he shifted. "I was lieutenant of the pack house guard when your father was Alpha." His eyes bore into mine, heavy. "It was a tragedy what happened to your father—maybe deserving, but cruel. And then you..."

Diablo said, quite flushed. Damien exhaled. “Alright then. And thank you.”

Damien asks and I nod, smiling at him. “Great. Our reserved table is waiting for us.” *** Damien booked a table for us in a luxurious French restaurant in a very high-end environment. Damien is doing well for himself actually. He works in an oil company owned by his uncle and he’s a petroleum engineer. One thing I admire in Damien is that he’s very hardworking and when he commits his time to doing something productive, he doesn’t stop unless he gets a result. As we eat, we talk about common things, like ‘how was work, how was our day, and how we have been.’ All that little conversation.

“Here you go, Damien. Sorry about that earlier.” Damien accepted the drink with a nod of thanks, his fatigue from the day gradually easing. Amanda, though seething inwardly, maintained a composed demeanor, plotting her next move carefully. Damien leaned back, his thoughts inevitably drifting to Seraphina, who was currently in Paris for work. He spoke wistfully about his feelings of missing her and anticipation of her return. Damien, takes a sip, looking pensive, "I miss her, you know? Can't wait for her to come back from Paris."
