Novel & Cerita Pitch Black Outside

Lila POV The burning Tree of Ignis is no longer on fire. When we emerge from the portal in the tree’s hollow, the leaves that usually flutter to an ash grave cease to fall. Shifters and demons scurry around the Inner City, and the sky, normally a vivid red, is now pitch-black. It’s like all the color has been sucked out of Hell. I hurry in Caleb’s wake. “What do you think is going on?” The only light visible comes from the buildings, but everything else is draped in darkness, and there’s a coldness in the air that turns my breath into smoke.

The entire world had gone insane. I threw my phone aside and ran to the window. If the door was welded shut, I'd jump out. This was the third floor, maybe I'd break some bones from the fall, but it was better than suffocating to death. I grabbed a chair and smashed it against the glass. It shattered on impact. I leaned out, but the sight beyond froze me solid. Outside the window was pitch black emptiness. I reached out to touch the darkness beyond. A cold, mechanical voice echoed through the void.

Not just hot but like, Jacob Black hot,” he answered as his eyes roamed around the room like he’s in a museum. “But why do you have such wonderful lounge outside and I entered your office filled with all these red lights like suddenly...I feel like I’m already in hell, man.”

Dominic's POV The tires shrieked across the pavement as I pulled up beside the building that matched the coordinates sent to my phone. I stepped out of the car slowly, my coat flaring with the wind. The air around me was humid from the earlier rain—but it did nothing to smother the cold rising inside me. My eyes scanned the silent building ahead. The windows were blacked out, the kind of black that wasn’t just from lack of light but design. Someone didn’t want this place seen from the outside. Bad decision.

I tried to open it, but it is locked. Maybe Mom wants to be alone for this time. I didn't bother her anymore. I let her rest in her room and I just walk around the house. I admit that our house is big and elegant. We have several rooms. We have a large and well-built kitchen. We have a wide living room. We also have swimming pool outside our house. But you know what's funny? This elegant and gorgeous house is very dark, deep, and horrifying from the inside. When you are outside, you can see a very colorful house. Its colors were very bright that you will spend more time to glance on it. But when you already see what is inside our house, all you can say is it is in gray scale mode.

--- Three Days Later The sun had long since set, leaving behind a sky the color of bruised plums and a city slowly twinkling to life with streetlights and office windows. Bianca stepped out of her black Lamborghini, her heels clicking against the concrete of her private garage. The engine hummed softly before cutting off, and the sudden silence was almost deafening.

The pitch blackness of a closed room is different from the ambient light of the forest at night. There’s no point in trying my phone. I dropped it somewhere in the water as soon as I started struggling. With the light out, I know it’s dead. Crawling on wobbling legs as the cold pierces through to my bones, my fingers brush against the ground until I find the cold metal of the doors. When I reach up and push on them, they don’t budge at all. Phone dead, no light, no contact with the outside world. No one comes to the swimming pool at this time of year. My best bet is to wait until a security guard or teacher checks…when?

Ash opened his eyes as he was met with the pitch black darkness inside his room. The world was silent as if it had ended during the night. The sun was far below the horizon and the street was as dark as some old-school black and white movie. He could hear the sweet chirping of the birds as their song resonated through his room.

We didn't get to sleep for a week. We barely got an hour. The sun crested the jagged skyline of the Onyx City, pouring unforgiving white light through the floor-to-ceiling windows of the Vantablack. The black glass floor drank the light, but the glare off the silver trim was blinding. I found Ashren standing by the glass.

Brittany explains with a smile, "It's going to be pitch black soon and no streetlights for miles! No thank you." We start off as we headed off into the night, we're barely 200 yards from the car before Brittany sniffs the air and looks at me. "Does that smell ike rain to you?She says.. "It couldn't be, our luck couldn't be that shitty could it?" I say just as the first ominous thuds start landing around our feet. Moments later and we're barely able to see eachother, the heavens opening up, a downpour that feels no so tropical in its intensity soaking us to the bone in seconds, the two of us continuing forward another 20 or so yards before Brittany looks up and then at me.
