Second Chanced Mates

Second Chanced Mates

Quiet sobs escaped my lips, tears streaming down my face and finally, after so many years, months, weeks, and days I spent in this prison of loneliness, I felt numb and hollow. I felt cold. Everything was beginning to crumble around me leaving me completely powerless, helpless to save myself. I was alone. I always had been and always will be. It Alone...alone....all alone...alone…..

My daughter in-law

My daughter in-law

“You’re getting old,” I mumbled to myself, after staring at my own reflection in a window. No decoration or Christmas song seemed to be able to lift my gloomy mood, which seemed to grow stronger the closer I got to my apartment. My empty apartment. The place that had always been my castle of solitude and a much-needed place to hide from the world. Now it was just... Empty. Maybe I should continue going to therapy after all. Only this time as treatment for depression.

Their Precious Mate

Their Precious Mate

The only thing I was good for was preparing his meals, spreading my legs, and being the perfect little body bag for everyone and anyone. Reading was an escape of sorts. Whenever I'm alone, without the comfort of Aries, Theós, or Timothy, I'm alone with the thoughts of my past. Stirring in those thoughts for too long would send me into a mood that just stunk of depression and suicidal thoughts. It was like I was back in the earlier funk when I first arrived here. Being stuck alone because I was too stubborn to accept the affections that Theós and Aries was giving me. It felt like I was constantly on the edge of just doing it. I wanted to.

I really like this book but there are several repeat chapters. Beware of that before you purchase them. It also makes it a bit difficult to read as it throws the timeline off. This needs to be fixed. The book itself is great. Timothy and is mother hen act are hilarious. He is the best beta.

Completely enjoying the refreshing relationship between the alphas and Charlotte ... Ch's 41, 42, & most of 43 are repeats (as of 6/17/24), so skip 41 & 42. End of 43 is a random snippet of a scene that I can't tell if meant to be there, but probably adds to story; from unknown perspective

The Art of Deception

The Art of Deception

But my screams were drowned out by the sound of my own despair, and I was left alone, lost in the darkness of my own mind. As the days passed by, I felt like I was sinking deeper and deeper into a sea of despair. I was helpless, depressed, and scared. I felt like I was losing control of my life, like I was a passenger on a train that was careening out of control. I barely ate anything, and when I did, it was just enough to sustain myself. I had no appetite, no interest in food. I just existed, going through the motions of living without any sense of purpose or joy.

Alone in Death

Alone in Death

The carousel was still there, spinning round as if nothing had changed. I bought a ticket and sat on the same familiar horse. The wind blew against my face. I closed my eyes. For a moment, I could still hear my daughter's laughter… and David warning me, "Be careful." This time, no one was with me. I rode alone. A wave of dizziness washed over me. I knew death was near. I forced my eyes open, but the world grew more and more blurred. With trembling hands, I pulled out my phone and used the last of my strength to dial a number I had not called in years.

Shadowboom Unveiling

Shadowboom Unveiling

Their laughter and sweet words, exchanged in the other room, intensified my sense of loss and loneliness. I lay on my bed, feeling the weight of the world pressing down on my shoulders. The soft sobs escaped my lips, mingling with the muffled sounds of their joyful conversation, further reminding me of just how alone I felt in that darkness. I couldn't bear it any longer and decided to went out.

My husband hates me

My husband hates me

"A dark, cold feeling is spreading through me like frost on a windshield on a winter morning." Katherine Webber Misery and obscurity are my closest companions since I started to comprehend. People have worn black to express their grief and my never ending grief pushing me into depression of darkness. This morning light is so dark than my night, the room is brightened with sunlight but all I can see pitch dark because there is no light no hope that

DARK ANGLE
I cried a lot reading the 1st book... the ending was very emotional... when ever I feel sad re-reading the 1st book... I read the 2nd book and my mood shifts, lol. Yeah.. I re-read this book many times.. and every time it feels like I am reading it for 1st time...

This is a very emotionally heavy book, but, unfortunately, it is extremely realistic. I was said to learn that Emily passed away, but I'm not feeling bad for this guy. Yes, he retorted to self-harm and crying. But he abused her for years. Domestic violence should never be overlooked

The Dragon's Lost Phoenix Princess

The Dragon's Lost Phoenix Princess

I believe it was called a selfie. They looked so happy, so in love. I imagine if they were both still alive that we would take pictures like this together. A tear drops on the picture and I wipe my cheek. I kiss the picture and place it back gently as I close the album and sigh, looking at the flames again. I have slipped into depression. Being here at home is making me worse. The reality of what has happened and is happening hits me hard, making me cry harder. The ache grows worse and if I could, I would end it all.

Torned (The Alpha's Secret Babies)

Torned (The Alpha's Secret Babies)

Tears streamed down my face, mixing with bitter laughter. I was losing my grip. I stumbled to my feet, shattering the vase on my dresser. The sound of breaking glass was cathartic. More. I flung open my closet, ripping clothes from hangers. Sobbing, I tore through my room, destroying everything. Papers, books, photos – all scattered, shredded. My reflection stared back from the shattered mirror. A stranger, broken and shattered. I collapsed amidst the chaos, exhausted. Depression's heavy chains wrapped around me. In the darkness, I whispered: "I'm losing myself."
