The compound was always protected. We got to the range and unloaded our gear. Our path led to a massive indoor archery range. It had twenty lanes. Each lane was clearly marked out to 150 meters plus there was approximately 20 meters of back space where the observers and archers waiting their turn congregated. Bryan shot his pistol three times, then pressed the button on the wall which drew his human cardboard target closer to where he was. “Not bad.” Kimberly shouted in the midst of the gunshots from other shooters, who we’re practicing in the shooting range. His target had a hole on the side of its head, on a shoulder and in the middle of its torso. “My turn.” She said after replacing the bullet ridden target with a new one, and pressing the button on the wall, which pushed it away till it got to forty meters away from where she stood.

"You've done well for a first session," he said, stepping back to give me space. "But we should take a break. Extended practice can strain a beginner's muscles." He unlocked the chain securing the gun, then called out to someone I couldn't see. "Adjust to moving targets, please." The range transformed before my eyes. Eight targets appeared, seven of them moving quickly in erratic patterns, while one varied its speed unpredictably.

I think my disappointment will be much worse if that were the case, not because I don't like animals, but it isn't exactly a good way to blow off steam.
