Mia steps up to Selene as Asteria steps in front of Mia and sizes up my twin sister. “Selene, how nice of you to show your face,” Asteria growls at her. Asteria towers over Selene. With Asteria being a siren, they are always taller. Selene smirks at her, and I pull Mia behind me. This isn’t going to end well if either start fighting. Asteria is the daughter of Poseidon and Selene is good friends with her father. “Don’t you have a mate to find? This is my family and your not needed here Queen Asteria.” Asteria growls down at Selene.

She coughed a few times. A bottle of water stuck to the side of her cheek. Ruby turned around. An elegant woman wearing only a blue cloth smiled kindly. Amphitrítē. She is the sea goddess, the queen of the sea, and her consort is Poseidon. "Are you looking for answers?" she asked softly. A far cry from the harsh seas of Poseidon incarnate. Amphitrítē inherited the peaceful nature of the water. She looks like a beautiful seascape. Yet still inscribed with the resilience to sail the high seas.

I whisper looking at the both of them, confusingly “You gave your word, didn’t you? Ares was the one who stood his ground that he was neutral, but you, you vehemently disagreed. You said there was no where in the world that your sister would have two mates, talk more of being Helios’ mate.” Athena says insistingly “Wait, what?! You two had a bet on me!???” I screech “Yeah, it was my…” Athena was saying “You are so dead!!!!!” I sprint towards her as she dashes for safety; chuckling all the way with me hot on her pursuit.

Then, Zeus cleared his throat as he glanced at Hades, hoping that his brother would start the conversation. Hades, who is sensitive, looks at Cia gently. "Arlcia, did you forget your assignment?" "Of course not!" "But you look busy with your little family," interrupted Poseidon. Cia chuckled, of these three gods. Only Poseidon likes to find material to make a fuss about. "Come on, I've only been in touch for the first time. I have only two children, unlike you who have children everywhere." Poseidon's eyes widened in disapproval. Want to argue, but it's true. So, he could only snort loudly, as if it was letting off steam.

And then— Something clicked. His expression changed. Subtly. Sharply. “…You remind me of someone,” he said. Celeste didn’t react. But the crowns in her chest stirred faintly. “Queen Dacia,” Ares said. The name carried history. Weight. Memory. The ocean responded immediately—just a slight swell, but enough to confirm the connection. Ares’s eyes narrowed further. “Poseidon had a habit,” he said slowly, “of favoring things that weren’t supposed to matter.”

As they entered the main chamber, they were greeted by the sight of magnificent statues depicting the Greek sea gods and goddesses. On one side, there loomed a regal statue of Poseidon, the mighty god of the sea, holding his trident and exuding a sense of power and authority. Beside him, there was a statue of Amphitrite herself, the beautiful and serene goddess, with flowing hair and a gentle smile on her face.

“I wager 100 souls on Selene,” Dionysos laughs, seeing Iris getting ready for her party. “I wager 60 souls on Selene,” Pan plays his flute. “I believe in Poseidon,” Hera winks at him. “I wager 2000 souls for Poseidon to win.” Penelopeia and Leto giggle at Hera’s folly. Dionysos laughs his drunker laugh. “My dear, sweet Hera, I will see your wager, 2000 souls that Selene has finally beaten Poseidon.”

Zeus is often depicted as an older man with a beard and is represented by symbols such as the lightning bolt and the eagle. He fathered many children. Among the most well-known are Athena, the goddess of war; Perseus, the hero known for slaying Medusa; and Persephone, Demeter’s daughter, and wife to Hades. Zeus is known for his many sexual (and oftentimes nonconsensual) relationships outside of his marriage to his wife and sister Hera.

She explains. I guess I never thought of it that way. I had no idea that Poseidon granted the fae their powers. I knew he created the mermaids, but that was it. Not like Zeus and Hades, who created everything under the sun. As Athena would call it, their pissing contest. I laughed the first time I heard her say that.
