Magdalene said and couldn’t hold her tears.
Edwin couldn’t control himself, he began to cry too. When Magdalene saw this, she finally halted and said, “And why are you crying?”
“Since prayer cannot solve it, I have resolved to cry. Maybe they will come home sooner or later,” Edwin said and cried more.
“C’mon, you don’t have to do this. You will harm yourself,” Magdalene said, and cuddled round Edwin’s shoulders.
Magdalene and Edwin stopped crying. Edwin suggested they pray. He said he was sure that God would bring Alfred and Davies back home alive. Magdalene was the one that led the prayer, while Edwin replied with amen intermittently.
