Sighing, Arec shook his head and said, “Look, Mother. Think back to when you realized Father was your mate. How did you know it?” His mother’s face softened, and she almost smiled. “I felt our connection,” she told him. Arec nodded and said, “That’s what I’m saying. I feel the connection with Eve, and she feels it too.” Eve nodded and smiled at him.
