Perfect Bride For Me

Perfect Bride For Me

She retorted I was shocked. " What did I do to you?? " " You were so prejudiced that you insulted me. You made fun of me, called me overweight and unattractive. You thought that my family and I were trying to trap a good husband just by sending food. You said that I am taking the saying very seriously that, A way to a man's heart goes through his stomach. You said, my sweetness and being nice with other people was just a plot to get a good husband. You said that I was pretending to be a perfect bride material. You said, all I could think of was food and that's why I was overweight. You said that I was trying to make you fall for my cooking so that you get married to me. You know what??? ...

Never to look back

Never to look back

With one person leading the way more people became restless. “Even if you have fallen in love with someone else you should not be so unbridled.” Another person scoffed. “Miss, please don’t be like this.” The young lady who came with the first person who spoke out, comforted Eva as she helped her up from where she stumbled down. “Men like this, no matter how rich or handsome they are...” She paused as she looked at Darcy and Grace with disgust “are not worth it. Today he left you for her, tomorrow he will leave her for another.”

Wife by Deception: The Billionaire And the Impostor

Wife by Deception: The Billionaire And the Impostor

“Miss Evans, you're close to the King family, right? How long have you known that Preston isn’t actually crippled? I’ve always thought he was more attractive than most celebrities, and it was a shame that he was disabled, but it turns out he isn’t. Anyway, why in the world would he marry such an ugly woman?” “Yes, Miss Evans. Tell us. What is it about her that made Preston choose her? I don’t understand. It’s like trying to solve a century-old puzzle.” Luna raised an eyebrow, crossed her arms, and glared at the woman who had just spoken. “Even if he’s not attracted to me, he certainly wouldn't like someone with a waist as thick as yours.” “How dare you say that to me, you bitch?”

Her Honour for an Heir

Her Honour for an Heir

I stretched my hand out to hers, “then he does not love you sister. He admires your wit, your beauty and charm no doubt about it. He is wanting your honour, to claim his prize like a hunter takes antlers.” “I am sure he has no such intensions! It is just the start!” “Kitty! You are on the very edge of the cliff here. If you are seen in that side of town, you will be labelled a whore before the next church service. It is wrong, it is cruel, but it is how the Season operates. For every winner like Miss Churchill there must be a loser.” “Miss Churchill?” “She is to be engaged to Lord Dartmouth. I believe she introduced you to these soldiers’ balls…and then swept away the most eligible man of th

This was much different from most other stories I’ve read, but it most certainly was no less. This was a phenomenal read from beginning to end, absolutely kept me on my toes & binge reading as quickly as I could. As always, absolutely amazing job author - a must read! :)

This was my first regency book. I loved it. The old fashioned setting is described very well. As a woman it makes me feel caged and unhappy. I was scared for Vanessa and cheered her on every step of the way. She’s strong but a strong that fits in the time.

Persuasion

Persuasion

Mr Elliot had attempted no apology, and shewn himself as unsolicitous of being longer noticed by the family, as Sir Walter considered him unworthy of it: all acquaintance between them had ceased. This very awkward history of Mr Elliot was still, after an interval of several years, felt with anger by Elizabeth, who had liked the man for himself, and still more for being her father's heir, and whose strong family pride could see only in him a proper match for Sir Walter Elliot's eldest daughter. There was not a baronet from A to Z whom her feelings could have so willingly acknowledged as an equal. Yet so miserably had he conducted himself, that though she was at this present time (the summer o

Beneath The Scars

Beneath The Scars

That's bad. "What concept is that exactly, Lady Charleston?" she asked in an English accent as she arched a brow surprised. She knew how much I hated reading. "Well, for 'Pride and Prejudice', Elizabeth Bennett refused to let go of her preconceived notions of Mr Darcy. Mr Darcy on the other hand, was too prejudiced against those of the lower status. Undoubtedly both of them had numerous character flaws. Elizabeth was too proud, lacked manners and Darcy was immersed in the division between factions, the rich and the poor. He thought everyone was after his money and couldn't see past that fact."

The Billionaire's Perfect Bride

The Billionaire's Perfect Bride

She used her free hand to wipe off the lone tear running down her over-painted cheeks. There was no need to cry, none of her tears had ever worked, especially when the men were this drunk. She pulled down her black leathered skirt which hung tightly to her buttocks and left nothing to the imagination. These had been the provocative wears she was always forced to wear, in attracting men who patronize the factory. Chris pulled Cara roughly as he barged into an empty room. The only light in the room was the one emanating from a table lamp. Chris grinned and pushed Cara to the bed carelessly, all he wanted was to have his way.

His Cherry Virg*n

His Cherry Virg*n

Throughout the middle Six months later: Last year of Eighth Grade: I am outside sitting on the bench. "Virgin... Cherry..." "Virgin... Cherry..." The classmates mocked me. I just kept reading my favorite book, Pride and Prejudice, while sitting on the bench. I just love the storyline with Mr. Darcy and Lizzie." He is a serious character, and she is a fun, outgoing, adventurous young lady. I was in the middle of the part when Lizzie and Mr. Darcy kissed.

Jimmy said to Susan. She laughed. “She’s going to be a famous writer. She’d better have some opinions on literature.” “Fine,” Kimia glared at me. “Jane Austin. She had some great leads.” “Darcy was an asshole to Elizabeth, Bingly let himself be talked away from Jane, Wickham is just a bastard, Wentworth treated Anne like shit because she refused him as a teenager, Edmund Bertram was obsessed with the pretty new girl and forgot about Fanny, Ferras fell in love with Elanore when he was engaged to someone else, Brandon was still hung up on his dead ex, and let’s face it. Nobody cares about Northanger Abbey.”
