The crowd roared and clapped. "I'll just be a sec, darling." He smiled and said to Pearl, leaving her side for only the second time that evening.

“Let’s leave this place.” They got in the car and he drove off immediately. It was faster to get through all the security this time. Edward only managed to relax when the car was on the main road. It had been a very mixed day. Prince Sebastian was a mystery so far. He was definitely nothing like the image he showed in public. Yet, it was supposed to happen one way or another. Upon my tantrums, my parents agreed to delay the official deals of the wedding from one year so that time would let us get to know each other. Still, I stubbornly avoided Prince Patrick at all costs. Mostly because he was way older than me, and I saw him as an old man. Prince Patrick was twenty-four while I was only eighteen! For many people, it won't be a huge age gap, but for me. I disliked being with someone whose way older than me because I didn't want to be treated like I was inexperienced and childish. So I was cold toward Prince Patrick at first.

I asked as I read through an email about the next gathering of royal spouses. “Air-iss-uh,” Trick answered from where he leaned on the doorframe. He wore dark blue fitted dress pants with a white button shirt and a vest that matched his pants. His dark hair hung over his eyes, begging for me to brush it back. “That’s what I thought,” I said, looking at him over the top of my laptop screen. “And there’s no werewolf queen right?” “Not for the current king,” he confirmed. “Andreas just turned twenty-one, though, so I imagine it will be sometime soon.”
