From where she hid in the ceiling, she could see the bar held about twenty men, each of them, as if programmed, had their attention stuck to a happening before them.
The bar had gone quiet, and the lights dimmed.
Rune's voice broke through her thoughts, his whisper barely audible above the hushed murmurs below. "What do you think they're waiting for?"
She wanted to know, too. Whatever it would be, it had to be of grave importance.
But as they continued to watch, the stage lights came on, and a figure emerged from the shadows. The lights shone down on light brown hair, rendering it almost blonde, and when he raised his face to the crowd, despite herself, she flinched from the grey orbs.
