I let out a sarcastic smile, “have fun inhaling carbon dioxide there.” With that, they burst out laughing. “We really need to think ways to put some humor inside your brain!” Ave exclaimed, still laughing. I pursed my lips. “I don’t need that.” “As expected from you,” Rebel chuckled. I roll my eyes heavenwards. I don’t need some humor. A bitter smile placed against my lips. I only need someone who’ll save me from this hell. “How about this?” “Your showing too much skin.” “This one?” “Too short.”

"Rude" I realise here that he has a british accent that always has a layer of humour underneath it, it sounds rich and deep, something that was destined to rule and command. God, he should leave my door. Because it was insane! What ever humour that he had. Because I did not understand why anyone would come to my door as it was about nine pm, sounding like I was nothing short but a toy who wanted to poke and play with it as he scares the wits out of me unless he was a complete psychopath of course!

I looked around for Adam and the others but it seemed that I lost them halfway through the crowd. I have got to stop being out of it in random places. “What do you want?” I snapped at the stranger after a failed attempt in trying to locate a certain brown mob of hair. In what I’ve observed so far, his steps were slightly off balance, his posture was slumped and he was slurring incoherent words but I was able to make out a few words which I think was supposed to be, “Let’s ditch and have fun, sexy.” I scrunched my face up in disgust and wrenched my hand away swiftly. I decided that I wanted to quote a TV Show instead of retorting stupidly .

Her broad nose and smile created an expressive face, probably harkening back to some sort of Pacific Islander heritage. "Stop encouraging them," Kelsey scolded. "They're acting a fool because you keep laughing." Felecia chuckled. She couldn't help it. Harper winked at her over the top of his mug as he drained the last of his coffee. Jamie gave Kelsey a sidelong look. "Just because you don't have a sense of humor doesn't mean everyone has to be a stick in the mud." Kelsey returned Jamie's look with her own flat stare. "I have a sense of humor, thank you very much. I just don't find your fart jokes funny."

"You'd called me a big blob of frozen ice one time, remember? You said I was cold and had no sense of humour. I wanted to prove you wrong." "And you thought the best way to do that was to pretend you had murdered someone?" My voice rose slightly, finding the whole situation even more ridiculous. "Eric, proving you have a sense of humour doesn't mean you have to scare me to death for heaven's sake. A sense of humour is making someone laugh, not making them terrified."

With her joke she not only made it a noun but she made it an abstract noun. "Sorry baby, it was just a bad joke you know" Grumpy Lewis looked away. He needed more flattery and convincing to even look at her and the thing she was doing with her hands seemed to be below the threshold. "Okay, you'll get a quickie" He turned around with a grin on his face. "You moron, I can't believe you made me do that" "The cream always rises to the top, am the smartest babe and I know you always keep your word so..."

She chuckled and then broke into delighted laughter. He grinned. “You get that I’m joking?” “Well, of course you’re joking. Vomity ones.” She laughed again. “Too funny.” “Most people don’t get my jokes. Say they’re inappropriate.” He finger-quoted inappropriate. “Are they idiots?” “Arguably.” She laughed again. “A woman who gets my jokes…” His pleased little grin turned into a broad smile. “Can I buy you a coffee sometime? Or a jet?” “A jet?” She laughed until her stomach ached and she had to bend over with her hands on both knees to catch her breath. “You’re killing me.”

Zara cringes. “Sorry Zara, I’ll try and keep the bad jokes to a minimum,” I say apologetically. “It’s not so bad. You should share your bad jokes with the rest of the world. Let people see just how normal their Alpha is,” she teases. “Great idea, they can add a terrible sense of humour to the list of reasons why I’m not fit to be Alpha,” I say sarcastically. “If humour was a requirement to become an Alpha I’m pretty sure most Alphas would lose their candidacy. You’ve met these guys, what a bunch of fuddy-duddies,” she says rolling her eyes.

A few people chuckled. "Oh, I agree," Rachel nodded. "He is very, very, very crazy. No one who knows him for more than a day can truthfully deny that. He's mad, cracked, insane - and he laughs at death. He laughs at life. He mocks condescension and helps alleviate ignorance through comedy.

It's not quarrelling, but debate of the kind you get from the types that think they know the secrets of the universe, or they can put the world to rights by talking about it. "Interesting place," I comment, trying to keep the sarcasm out of my tone. Her lips make that quirk again; a sort of half-smile that would make the Mona Lisa long to be more subtle with her body language. She chooses a table by the window, speaking in a low voice. Humour dances at the corners of her eyes. "It's always interesting. Some of them can be quite profound. Some of them wouldn't know their ass from their elbow. But there's always cheap entertainment to be had here for the price of a coffee."
