"Mommy is so stupid! Sera doesn't want you touching her!" She reached in and smugly petted the rabbit for a long time. The rabbit didn't struggle once. I lowered my eyes, hiding my smirk. A few minutes later, they left. It was just me and the rabbit. Inside the cage, the white rabbit slowly raised her head. She tried to twitch her nose, but suddenly, her body began to tremble. Her pristine white fur was falling out in clumps, revealing sickly, bruised purple skin, as if something was corroding her flesh.

It was tiny, even for a rabbit, and barely filled the lanky teen’s arms. Skye walked up beside them after delegating the tea pouring duties to Dahlia, his hand taking on the familiar silver glow of the Healing Sight. Eician followed suit although he didn’t have the same ability that Skye had. For him, the view of the rabbit’s body was blurry and hard to make sense of, but the damaged leg was easy to spot once he focused.

She hesitated for a moment before nodding, her hands clenching into my arm. The rustling grew louder, closer, and my wolf growled in warning, the hair on the back of my neck standing on end. And then, out of the shadows, a pair of big eyes appeared, staring right at us. It was a rabbit. I couldn't help it; I burst out laughing at the sight and sent the creature running and a frown creasing Elara's face. "What is so funny?" she asked, narrowing her eyes at me. "Nothing." I replied still in a fit. But when she kept staring, I knew I had to reply seeing the look in her eyes.

I crossed my arms, not expecting a response. At the sound of my voice, one of the rabbits scooted backward while the other sniffed me. "I won't bite," I said, holding out my hand. Twinkling lights appeared suddenly around them. Just a few at first, but quickly more and more surrounded them until the light was so bright, I looked away. When I turned back, the twin bunnies were gone and, in their place, sat a girlish creature. Pointed ears poked through hair the color of chestnuts.

I wished that he would always be like this. I kept moving my fingers through his hair, loving the way his hair felt between my fingers. I was lost in my thoughts, just staring at him when I felt something move against my palm. Raphael eyes snapped open and a frown immediately took over his relaxed face. I lifted my eyes over to the spot where I felt movement and moved my hand over it again. I gasped a bit when I felt another movement and looked at the spot. A second later, two large floppy ears popped out from his hair. The ears were thay of a wolf's. It was black and large, bending forward at the tip.

“I am indeed an annoying wolf. Yet I understand that the annoying wolf is so unsettling, isn’t it?” Terrence answered me as he climbed the stairs. “What should I do to this rabbit?” I asked then. “Accompany them until I get back,” he said. I shook my head a little strange. I just stared at those little rabbits who were already motionless. Kitty looked so enthusiastic about enjoying the poor rabbits. I waited for Terrence while enjoying my homemade milk. A few minutes later Terrence returned without wearing a t-shirt and wet hair. I spouted my milk with origin.

By the way, when Ruby is in her beast-kin form— she had four ears, just like any other beast-kin. She had two ears on top of her head, and two ears like humans do. But when she transforms into mammals with horns such as cow, goat, or antelope— she would've had horns on her head. Obviously, her human ears had the same function as humans, while her beast-kin ears receive higher sound frequencies which humans' ears couldn't. Magical beasts had their unique vocal, howling, roaring, chirping, singing, et cetera. However, this is only limited to the same species— but for Ruby, she could receive and speak at almost any frequencies she wants, but only limited to mammal type magical beast.
