Scarlett (Second Edition)
Her body was limp, but her breathing was steady, and I held her tightly, feeling the need to protect her more fiercely than ever.
“Doctor Ralph, please come to my quarters. Now,” I linked to Redcape’s pack doctor, unsure if he could even help but knowing I had to try. Scarlett needed someone who understood what might be happening to her body, her magic.
As I reached the pack house, I hesitated, wondering if I should bring her to her own room, but then decided against it. Scarlett needed us, even if she didn’t want to admit it. I pushed the door open to our apartment, not caring about the consequences.
