That Night in the Woods
An old lady from the crowd shouted, “Kids! It is raining on your parade.”
Huh? What did that mean?
I tilted my head upwards, with my eyebrows lowered and pulled close together, gazing in the sky. A minute droplet of water descended upon the tip of my nose. Jenny looked up; eyes set on one of the clouds that just turned grey, anticipating for a water bead to drizzle on her too. But instead, a flower petal trickled over her. Fresh, vibrant, red and pink rose petals rained while she tap-danced on the stage. Her giggles echoed. I peered in amazement, at the flowers, it mizzled pristine liquid on the rest of us.
