And she looked at me with wide eyes and I picked up a piece of sharp green glass that she left behind from the lasso and I plunged it into her heart. She started spluttering and coughing up blood and I reached out and held her hand as she slowly withered away and died. I stood up and the heavens rays returned to where they belonged and my eyes went back to their piercing blue. And I saw Tyler standing there with absolute shock on his face.

The Edge of Shadows The bitter wind howled through the ruined valley, carrying with it the scent of ash and despair.
