"Your words mean more to me than you can imagine.” Leaning forward, I couldn't help but feel a spark of curiosity ignite within me. It danced in my eyes, glimmering with intrigue and a hunger for understanding the words concealed beneath the surface of our seemingly ordinary conversation. My voice, laced with a mixture of wonder and anticipation, broke the silence that hung in the air. "Aaron," I began, my words laced with a gentle yet insistent tone, "when you say my words mean more than you can imagine, what exactly do you mean?"

Exactly the same word, exactly the same moment, the precise synchronized delivery of two people who have not coordinated their answer. Mum's face went incandescent. "Fine," she repeated, and the word in her mouth sounded nothing like the word in ours. Hers had a musical quality, the sound of someone hearing evidence that a project is progressing. "Well. That's — that's something, isn't it? Fine." Neither of us said anything.

Which irritates me, because relaxing is not the category I have been keeping him in. He does not speak until we are halfway through the course. His voice drops to just above conversation level, low enough that the table noise covers it from everyone else. "You've been avoiding me." My fork stops mid-air. "I have not." He raises one eyebrow. Not dramatically. Just the single economical movement of someone who does not need to do more than that to make his point. "Really." Heat moves up the back of my neck. "Maybe I just have things to do that don't involve being lectured about my knee."

"Tell me what it is first." A slight shift in his expression — not quite a smile. "Voices," he said. "The Myrrhborn truth-frequency is not passive. When you speak with full intentionality behind the words — not performing, not managing, but entirely present — the words carry a weight that lands below the conscious mind of whoever receives them. They cannot be received as false. They cannot be deflected." He paused. "This is not a weapon. I want to be clear about that before you think of it as one. It is simply the sound of something real, and people's bodies know the sound of real things." "What do I say," I said.

Unnecessary words. Queen Nymera raised her glass without a word. It was Vasska’s pale girlfriend who finally broke the silence. “Let this summit be more than performance,” she said sweetly. “Let words uttered here bind stronger than blood.” Vaeril, of course, was next to rise. He looked almost too young to be standing there. His emerald eyes gleamed. “Then let the record begin.” He unrolled a scroll, the sound echoing like a clap of thunder.

He raised his voice at his mum. "Lower your voice!" Mr. Moore banged his hand on a stool and stood up angrily. "How dare you raise your voice at your mother?!"

He scoffs, “Communication.” The girls laugh, “Yeah, so simple even a man should be able to figure it out. But I didn’t and now I’m here trying to write her a long letter about my feelings.” Fi smiles and leans back, “Okay, so you’re writing her a letter and you’re trying to make it sound poetic?” He nods, “Pretty much.” Sammy shakes her head, “Well, don’t!” Nate stares at her. “You are not a poet. Be you. Gods man, she loves you. Use your own words, don’t try and be something you’re not. Otherwise, the communication means nothing.” Fi nods,

"Why didn't you tell me about your problem on day one? I would have spoken louder. I wou-" She shook her head. "That's not n-necessary." "Why isn't it?" "T-t-there's something in y-your voice," she stammered nervously as she gently tugged at her fingers. "In my voice?" She nodded again. "It's h-hard to ignore." "I don't understand where you're going with this." "Your voice," she looked down as a light blush stained her cheeks, "is the only voice that I can hear perfectly."

In occasion, a lady is permitted to speak but only to those with the same title. As such, the soft tone of voice in which they are permitted to use is a decibel lower than what can be heard by others. This will be coined as the 'Consort's Voice.' ✾ They say women were born competitive.

My voice was calm but firm. I paused to allow my words to sink in, knowing that I had to make my point without raising my voice or becoming angry. "I know that you may not fully grasp the situation, but I need you to trust me when I say that this is a matter of great importance. We cannot afford to lose this contract, and if we do, it will be because of something that could have been avoided. Please listen to me and do your part to help us keep this contract. Your actions have consequences, and they affect not only you but also the entire company. Please take this seriously."
