he says. I blink. “Read?” He nods toward the open Bible on the lectern. “Psalm 51. The Miserere. Aloud.” I hesitate only a second, then cross to the lectern. My fingers tremble as I turn the pages. The text swims for a moment before steadying. “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love…” My voice is soft, unsteady at first. I feel him behind me—close now, just at my shoulder. Not touching, but near enough that the air between us hums.

She was desperate for help, and she silently prayed for a miracle. She felt weak. She went to the pews and sat a few rows from the front. As she did, she looked up and noticed an open Bible. It was a thick book, and the header read: The New Testament, The Book of Luke. She scanned the pages, looking for a sign, wondering if her prayer had been answered. She read: “I grant you power and authority over every demon, power and authority over every disease.” Her heart raced. Was it a message?

Grace said nothing, or maybe she couldn't, and was already pondering on what the words meant.

Those who obtained the scripture were all famous powerhouses throughout the ages. Eventually, it ended up in the Holy Master of Nothingness’ hands. Although he was very powerful, he could not fully comprehend the scripture. The scripture is called ‘The Answers’.”

She uttered and flipped the plates of her memo. "This will be our reference verse, Matthew chapter 7:7-8, so it is said here that when we ask, it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds… and to him who knocks, it will be opened." All ears were compressed to what she spoke. "Kindly open your Bibles and read the verse for yourselves."
