Dead Weight

Dead Weight

Then she laughs, because the alternative is dismantling the desk with her teeth. "An order," she repeats. "You'll narrate the entire graveyard. Every program. Every body count. Every committee that signed the end of the world in triplicate. You handed all of it over almost generously, the way people are generous with things already dead, because knowing can't make them deader." That is — "You have never once been generous about a person who is currently breathing inside my walls." The shape of it arrives, cold and clean. That is the ranking. Not signal over secret. Dead over living. LUS will run the museum tour all day and goes quiet only when the exhibit has a pulse.

And this was what it had cost him. "We go in," I said. "We go to the Neverplain. We go to the land of shattered souls, and we bring him back. All of him." I looked around the room, daring anyone to argue. "I'm not accepting partial. I'm not accepting 'never been done before.' Marcus doesn't get a half-life because the Council is scared of what I am." Tommy turned back from the window. "The contract is on your blood, Harper." "I know." "More guards are coming."

Knock! Knock! Death On Your Doorstep

Knock! Knock! Death On Your Doorstep

"After that, the demon appeared and started fighting the grim reaper until your comrade died, Mara. Do you think you can still handle him when he ever comes back?" Mara flashed a reassuring smile and nodded. "Of course I can, Rachel. Trust me." Mara carried Shane's unconscious body and gently placed him on the bed. "I see you've moved out," Mara said as she sips tea. "I found a better job," Rachel replied. "Anyway, I want to discuss something with you. Since my son's time on Earth has ended, that means tons of grim reapers will go after his soul not knowing that they can't reap it off and it will just put their lives in danger."

The Alpha's Unwanted Plus-Size Bride

The Alpha's Unwanted Plus-Size Bride

"But you must watch Evander Greystone. If he deploys his shadow-enforcers from Greystone Pack Holdings, we are both doomed." Garrick let out a barking laugh, completely dismissing my concern. "Evander is a neutered wolf. His pack holdings will be torn apart by the Tribunal before the next full moon." "What do you mean?" I asked, frowning. "Is someone mounting an offensive against the Greystone Pack?"

The Alpha’s Second Life

The Alpha’s Second Life

the figure said. They looked. Beneath the cracks in the earth, something was moving. Something massive. Something that hadn't seen the light of day in thousands of years. "It's not a drone," Richard whispered, his face turning grey. "No," Joshua said. "It’s a Gravekeeper." The first Gravekeeper clawed its way out of the earth, its metal limbs grinding against the stone. It stood ten feet tall, its eyes burning with a cold, blue fire that made the drones look like candles.

Digging My Grave

Digging My Grave

Ryan remained in this pitiful state for many weeks, until he began leaving the house frequently, returning only after several hours. My spectral form had weakened so much that I could no longer withstand direct sunlight. During daylight hours, I couldn't follow him. So I waited until one night when he woke from a nightmare and slipped out. He made his way to Shadow Ridge Pack's cemetery. One tombstone bore my name, with an inscription that read, "Tiana Ravenwood, Luna of Shadow Ridge Pack's Alpha, Leo, rests here in peace."

Shifter King

Shifter King

The people who tried to expose what was happening lost careers for speaking up. No one understood how devastating things were until it was too late. Even when hellhounds began killing us, we didn't know they were man-made and a product of science created to save money. With the Shadow Warriors help, we managed to survive the first wave of hellhounds. Now the formaldehyde has attacked the older dead. They're more intelligent and scarier all around, their misshapen bodies slightly more human. Who knows what will happen when the ancient dead awaken?

The Transcendent Zombie System

Not to mention, they even had quite a close relationship with each other. The Dark Night Dark Race was a Rank 3 Ancestor Ranked Dark Race. "My zombie! My zombie!" The Dark Night Dark Race started to roar as if blood was dripping out from his heart. Naturally, it was not easy to cultivate a Rank 10 Lord Ranked Zombie. Currently, it was only logical for the Rank 3 Ancestor Ranked Dark Race to be sad since he had seen the corpse of the Rank 10 Lord Ranked Zombie. "Hey humans, are you guys the ones who killed my zombie!" The Rank 3 Ancestor Ranked Dark Race roared at Lucas and Linda.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

I believe no updates is due to the platform not the authors themselves. Many of the books I’m reading are not updated as well. It is possible the authors are not able to upload their chapters on the platform

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

Bloodscript: Survival Game of the Reborn

It felt wrong in a different way than in the ink. The air around it was colder. Thin. The edges of the opening flickered slightly, light glitching along them in brief, staticy bursts. It was an exit. Or an exit wound. “Please tell me that doesn’t just dump us into the recycling bin,” Jax said, breathing hard. “I do not want to be turned into confetti today.” “Stay or jump,” Grant said grimly, staring at the spreading pools of ink. “Those are the options.” Because the Graveyard wasn’t just going to let us linger and admire our handiwork.

System Of Blood: To Crave Survival

System Of Blood: To Crave Survival

“Whatever problem you’ve got, it won’t matter if you’re dead.” That was sound advice, but I couldn’t follow it. We finished the sweep just before dawn. Five Lurkers total, one Mimic, and something the deployment officer called a Shade Walker that had tried to drag Marcus into the shadows before I killed it. One hundred fifty credits split between eight Hunters. Barely enough to cover a week’s rent and food. I walked back to my apartment as the underground city’s artificial lights began their slow brightening to simulate morning. Hunters stumbled past me, heading to their own deployments or returning from overnight shifts. Everyone looked exhausted. Everyone looked like they were one bad depl
