Apocalypse: Last Production
A snake, coiled into a ring, biting its own tail.
The brand wasn't deep, but every box had one.
I stared at it for three seconds, my scalp prickling.
I'd seen that snake mark somewhere before.
I couldn't place it.
Jake saw it too. His throat worked, and he opened his mouth to speak. I pressed a hand to his chest and pushed him back.
"Put it back."
I pressed the torn tape back into place, my voice dropped to barely a whisper. "Eat, walk, talk — same as always."
