I turned off the voice call connection and sat on the chair closest to the gurney occupied by Mas Charles. "Milly wants to stay at my house. Happy?" The corner of my left lip rose to form an asymmetrical smile, more like an insult to the idea. Isn't that what Charles wants? I'm the one who looks normal according to the people around me. Bulan held out my other phone and already connected a video call. Someone who's been asking for my protection since... I don't know, I'm not counting the years. The contact was Randy, Charles' son whom I had taught to treat girls properly.

Raven chuckled, grabbing the apple in the basket on a stool not far from her reach as she took a bite from the apple still looking at Delilah. “Your demon is gnashing and wailing out of anger and you know why?” Mia asked the puzzled lady still feeling the heatness of her demon's agony. Delilah's eyes blazed dark before it dawned on her that she was feeling her demon leaving her. “Raven, wh..." "Shhh hush! My dear Delilah, can't you see I'm doing you a favor here hm?"

Raven asks to go run some errands for her mum so she hugs him and he pulls her to whisper "see you in school tomorrow" A beautiful brand new day, Raven wakes up with the worst cramps she has had in her entire life! Raven hates being on her period and low key wishes she was a guy. She screamed " I'm definitely not going to school today" but then she remembers she has test that morning and there's no way she'll be taking a makeup test alone. Raven is a brilliant student but suffers from mild dyslexia which makes it unbearable for her when it comes to computer based exams or tests.

The car stops in front of a house where a man and a woman—middle-aged—walk out to greet me. I step out. “Good afternoon.” I offer a small bow. “Roland, how are you?” the woman speaks first. “I’m Rachel, Diana’s mother.” She opens her arms for a hug. I do not care for hugs. Or people. I never have. “Sorry,” I say flatly. “I’m not a hugger.” Her arms fall back to her sides, smile stiff. The man steps in. “Dylan, Diana’s father.” He offers his hand. I accept it.

Keeping it under, I let it get dried. As the minutes ticked by, I couldn't help asking him this. "Don't you have a class?" Damnit, Arabella. Why did you even speak? My voice came out so squeaky and I couldn't even ask again as he already heard me. "I have one in ten minutes." He said looking down at his expensive watch. And a guy just in his jeans and a watch was a sight for sore eyes. His dark brown messy hair compliments his skin. He looked so good. I could just stare and drool over him all day.

Raven's voice shudders, she stares ahead while grabbing my hand and lacing her fingers with mine. "We will get through this together." Dad drapes his arm across both Raven and I before looking to Vaari, who nods. We stand together listening to Helena sing, Draig flies around above us in beautiful acrobatic movements that match her song. After a while Vaari and Dad move closer to the pyre as they speak, Raven moves to her mates and I stand staring at the fire, wishing she would come back.

Chapter Five Damon’s POV I sat in my office, my fingers gripping the edge of my desk as I stared blankly at the documents in front of me. Reports from my patrol teams, records of supplies, updates on training schedules—important matters that required my attention. But I couldn’t focus. My mind was somewhere else. Or rather, with someone else. Ravina. The name itself sent a sharp ache through my chest. It had been weeks since I rejected her, and yet, I felt her absence like a wound that refused to heal.

Valerie: Steam curled from the marble tub, fogging the mirrors and softening the edges of the room. The scent of sandalwood drifted through the air, one of his, not mine. At this point I didn't even have it in me to try and choose the scent. I sat inside the tub, watching as Xavier poured in more soap to the hot water. His sleeves were rolled up, the veins in his forearms catching the light. For once, there was no command in his movements, no arrogance. Just silence. He ran his finger over my cheek, right where there was a scratch. The Rogues have left their mark. But then again, of course they did.

Azraiel was trying to normalize what happened…when it was anything but normal…! But it was me…she wanted to scream… “I asked you…what’s your name..?” He spoke quietly.. Name..? “You…or rather whoever it was in you…. was about to tell the name when it started losing control over your mind and body….and all I could get was ‘Rav’…!” He explained. She frowned…that’s a half name…Rav...Rav…Rav...What the hell could be the full name?
