She peeked out from the tree and saw at least 10 guardians walking around with red eyes, baring their teeth. She quickly took notice of their position; 4 were standing a few steps away from her, 3 were just roaming around and the other 3 were standing protectively in front of the warehouse. Straightening my back and looking Zach straight in the eye, “bring it on.” “Good girl, now go to bed, I have a feeling our vacation traveling got more interesting.” Closing the door behind him, I pulled the sheet back and slid into bed. Sinking right in I closed my eyes. “Sleep Nina, I will stay awake and stand guard for us” Raven said. She twirled a few times the rested her head on her paws with her ears straight up. "Raven, do you think we are in danger here?" I ask uncertainly

I asked. I wasn’t going to say anything but It just came out. “Rowen is a ruthless leader. We have always known to stay out of his way when in your realm. We know that if you are here he will come for you, regardless of your status with him. He does not take well to his things being taken. He will not stop until he has retrieved you. That’s a fate we would rather not indulge in. So our best bet is going to be, to get you out of here. And keep him far, far, away from here.” The red haired girl spat.

Within moments, every Ivyshade warrior in the room received the signal. And then… Thud! Thud! Thud! The loyal Blood Moon warriors, those who had tried to stop Raven, collapsed one by one. Eyes wide, breathing heavy, then falling into unconsciousness. The room descended into a deathly silence. No one could stop Raven now. No message would leave this room. Raven had just arrived so she had no idea what was happening. “What is happening here?” Raven asked as she tried to look for the Luna among the crowd. When they heard her spoke, the all turned around to face her. Raven swallowed hard, noticing all their gazes on her. She tried to ignore them as best as she could as she walked through the crowd to look for Luna Savina. “Luna!” Raven spoke when she finally saw her standing right outside the door of her room. Raven’s brows drew together to see the door to her room open with all the pack guards coming in and out of it.

My chest heaved. I spun sharply, my voice rising, cracking with rage. “Don’t just stand there!” I barked at the guards. “Move! Do something!” They flinched, confused. Raven didn’t look back. And as her figure disappeared down the corridor, I stomped my foot hard against the marble. This wasn’t over. Not even close. If Raven thought she could humiliate me and walk away untouched… Then she truly didn’t understand what kind of hell I was about to become.

"What did you just say?" Raven roared in disbelief. His heart felt like it had been struck by a sledgehammer, sending sharp pain through his chest. He forced himself to stay calm and headed straight to the doors. But just two steps in, his legs gave out beneath him, and he nearly collapsed. Darren rushed forward to hold him up. "Where is she now? I need to see her," Raven demanded. "Raven, wait! Our ceremony is about to begin!" Lyra called out, lifting the hem of her gown as she hurried after him, her face filled with panic.

We were everywhere, unseen sentinels protecting humanity. At first, guarding and protecting the maiden assigned to me was a relatively simple task. She was quiet and kept mostly to herself. She rarely went out of her house or wandered into dangerous places, except for those times when her boyfriend invited her out for dates or dinners. I watched them closely, always alert, waiting for the danger to reveal itself. So far, the boy’s parents had not yet taken any drastic action to kidnap or hurt the girl. It seemed they were still thinking carefully, planning every detail of their scheme slowly and methodically, ensuring that when they struck, they would do it properly and without leaving trace
