RAGING FLAME
Each piece was a burst of color and imagination, and I could see the joy and pride in his eyes as he showed them off.
“Look at this one!” he said, holding up a drawing of a family picnic.
“It’s beautiful,” I said, genuinely touched by his creativity. “Thank you for sharing it with us.”
The evening drew to a close, and as we said our goodbyes, there was a sense of contentment and happiness. Ryan and I stepped out into the cool night air, the stars shining brightly overhead. The drive back to my apartment was filled with a comfortable silence, punctuated by the occasional glance and shared smile.
