--- Rage followed Rex on his first patrol into the North. The grey wolf was too old to run much anymore. But its grandson, the small grey wolf Sylvan had brought back from the forest, was already grown. Rage had named him Firepaw—for the patch of dark red fur on his right front paw. He walked behind Rex with Firepaw at his side, across the ice plains for a whole day. When he returned, his boots were covered in frozen soil and ice chips. He ran to Luna and held up the small handful of thistle root tendrils clutched in his fist for her to see.

Our pack is fighting tooth and nail to keep them out, but they are losing ground and need help. Apollo growls thunderously, jumping into the fight where it’s thickest saving three warriors. Jasper stays by my side, ripping rogues and demons to shred with an ease I envy him, not that Raven is any less ferocious. Smoke had never realized until now just how much she missed them. "Don't mind my sister." Smoke nearly leaped out of her fur at the sound of a new voice. She looked around until seeing a smaller gray she-cat with amber eyes staring back at her in amusement. "Ravenpaw's just mad that you took her nest." The she-cat paused as she licked her chest fur, looking rather curious as she watched Smoke. "My name's Snowpaw, by the way." Snowpaw tilted her head to one side when Smoke didn't say anything. "Well, you don't have to tell me your name, but it would be nice to know. Russetstar might not be happy you're here, but we could always use more warriors in the Clan."

Someone exhales sharply, a warrior shifting uneasily at the back of the room. "The Raven you remember is gone," I continue. "She left this pack years ago, but she didn’t just disappear—she became something else. She is the one leading the Wendigos. She’s the one behind every attack." A ripple of shock moves through the warriors, their expressions shifting from confusion to denial to horror. A warrior named Roderick speaks up hesitantly. "We saw Raven at the gates, Alpha. She was weak, injured, and..." He hesitates, glancing at the others. "She was scared. She couldn’t even stand on her own. She’s no threat.”

Awoo! Raven howled in agony, still feeling the shift happening in every single bone and nerve in his body. The five newly turned wolves then howled in different roar and level of pain until Raven suddenly attacked the first one who shifted. The rest of the pack was a bit of surprised because Raven was such a quiet boy, and it also alerted the council. Then, an expected fight among them broke out.

I would target them at their weakest point and see who did best. "As you all know, I'm Raven, the annoying girl who was a little too loud. If you have forgotten me, then I’m Raven Jacobs, the new Head Warrior. Which means it’s my job to make sure you are all at your best. The Blood Moon pack is one of the strongest packs in the country, and with it, we are always in everyone’s line of sight. Things may have calmed down since the battle that occurred three years ago but there is always the chance of danger. So, we need to be in the best shape possible."

The wall has always been there, but I never realized it was out of place and kept Clover and I from fully connecting. “We swear our loyalty to the Bloodwrath and Hale Kingdoms, we swear to protect all lycans, werewolves, vampires, and species not present. We will fight and guide our Kingdoms towards peace and harmony.” My heart pounds I my chest, Raven’s grip tightens around my hand as we listen to Ares leading all of the warriors in their oath to the realm. “I’m right here with you, we’ve got this. Listen to your instincts and what Ruby says,” I softly speak, lacing my fingers with hers, I look over into my twin’s glowing red eyes, and nod reassuringly.

It’s almost been 8 months since Raven came to me. My gift from the goddess. My everything. My love.
