I wanted him. Raven Blackwood. Raven Blackwood was the son of my father’s best friend Richard Blackwood. He was twenty years old this year. He followed after his father’s steps and took over his business just at the age of eighteen. He had dark hair, which looked sharper than shadows, and his gray eyes. Well, they looked like some storm that was on the verge of destruction. Everyone admired him and feared him. And me? Well, I was no exception either.

Her body is shaking. Probably from the exhaustion of running here. “There are soldiers in the woods, and they’re going to burn down the forest. Lady Hood stayed behind to stop them and sent me back for help.” My brother and I exchanged a look at her words. While her panic seemed genuine. Raven did claim we should watch out for her. Of course, since our characters would not know that. We still have to follow her. Bear- ok, all these different names are going to get irritating fast. I thought to myself. As if sensing my irritation. My brother’s lips twitched into a smile. I sent him a glare.

And that makes the guilt worse. The moment I step off the road and into the trees, the air changes. Colder. Heavier. Wrong. But I keep going. I recognize things from Raven’s visions, a crooked oak, a fallen log, a patch of moss shaped like a crescent moon. Things she wouldn’t notice because she didn’t grow up in Hallow’s Edge. But I did. And I know these woods better than anyone. “Drake?” I call softly. “Drake, can you hear me?”

Golden eyes caught mine, searing through me in one brutal sweep. “Raven,” he said, voice low but carrying. “You’ll ride with us today.” My stomach clenched. Ride. Not train. Not watch. Ride. He gestured toward the men beside him. “Rogues crossed the southern border last night. Six dead. Tracks lead into the old pine forest.” His gaze lingered on me. “You’ll hunt with Bloodveil.”

Making me feel like i just asked the worst question. "Well", he said his voice going back to how it usually was, the voice that would make a stranger run for the hills. "Well I'm Bryan Raven, lived in New York most of my life till now. Cause my dad thinks I can jump off our apartment, so here I am being catered by you guys", he said finally with his face going plane. "Well trust me they're way more places to kill yourself here than in New York", i said matter factly trying to lighten his mood. "And you'll also have enough reasons not to, believe me", I said practically whispering it, hoping he heard me. I hope i never give up on him, he deserves so much, he deserves to br fought for.

Pine and Fire The gates of Pine Wood Pack loomed high, wrought iron framed with stone, the crest of a wolf entwined with pine boughs carved above the arch. Beyond it, Evandra glimpsed the sweep of the forest—towering redwoods and firs rising like sentinels against the sky. Once out Ravan ordered every single guard to evict entire as he himself got inside his car and drove off, once he reached at safer distance Ravan halted his car and pressed the big bright RED button of the remote control that he had carried with

Chapter Two: SIGHTING Later that night, Rojean dolled up to go to a place that was both a nightclub and a bar that everyone was talking about. She was old enough, for sure, especially if she was going to get married soon. But she was never the kind of person to go out on the weekends, to a club or even a bar and always preferred the comfort of their apartment which Lucas didn’t mind at all even when he wanted to go out. She was in a cream coloured off shoulder dress which stopped mid-thigh and hugged her curves beautifully.

With the cool night breeze processing on his face, Raven walked into a park close to home. the plush foliage and trees blocked out the sunshine from the road lamps, therefore the entire space was very dark, even throughout the day. it absolutely was even darker at night, therefore dim that one couldn't even see his own fingers ahead of him. however, why did he opt for such a route? ...Even Raven himself couldn't understand. If he had to justify it, it might be the scent he smelled.
