Darkness

Darkness

I choked out as I dragged myself to my feet using a bar stool. Mila turned towards me. "Come with me." "Why would I do that?" The dark cloud flooded the room. The glow of the lights gleamed hazy paths through them, making it just light enough to see. I pushed as much energy as I could to my fingers. I tried to pull energy from the cloud, but it felt just as empty as Mr. Kline's dead body. I guessed I would have to rely on the swords. I commanded the light and dark swords to my hands. They flared to their full size cutting through the darkness. I gave into them. I willed them to fight for me, and they became extensions of my arms and my soul.

Mated to the Night Wolf

Mated to the Night Wolf

•|•|• "A keffer? Do not speak of those curses unless you wished to be cursed yourself." •|•|• [Kayos] Peace and Quiet. The darkness was my home and I reveled in the quietness that accompanied the midnight as I casually flipped through the book I was reading in the dark. Despite having no candle light to see, I was quite able to read the words as clear as if it where day, only looking up when the door suddenly opened.

Well worth the wait! Your 55 chapters are more like 250 chapters of other authors. Your chapters are long, detailed and fully packed with more intrigue. The guard? I’m team Kayos, but it’s so beautiful how tender the guard was with her to let her know he will honor her…but I think there’s more.

This book is so good. I love the writing, the characters, the story and the execution. Perfection at its core but I have a problem, please could you release a chapter at least once a week. It’s not fair because I’m basically hooked on this book and I don’t get regular updates.

Heather Academy: School of Fighters

Heather Academy: School of Fighters

I looked up and saw the gigantic rock don. "I have a plan." I said. "Everyone! Inside the cave now!" I shouted. I teleported with Ate and Cassie into the cave. If the dark knights have a weakness, it is darkness. They can't use their eyesight in the dark. Even if they’re from the Black kingdom. "Stay here." I said. I teleported back to where we came from earlier. "Ahhh! F**k it!" I heard Drake shout on his knees. Liam helped him and stood him up.

The Unfortunate Trilogy

The Unfortunate Trilogy

I flick my attention to the fireplace, seeking comfort in the glow of dying embers. "Do you mind the dark?" Kade asks, and a floorboard creaks somewhere. "I can't sleep otherwise." Darkness has never bothered me. It's what lurks in the dark that raises the hairs on the back of my neck. I'm not scared of Kaden Sario in the light but in the dark? In the dark, anyone can become a monster. The thought quickens my pulse. "Dark is fine," I murmur, swallowing hard. Shuffling sounds of crisp fabric, and the gentle thud of discarded shoes, stings my ears. I shift backward, moving away from the sounds on the other side of the bed. I pinch the edges of the blanket and pin it under my chin.

this is an amazing story. can't wait for an update. I hope the dna results cause a change so there's no more unfortunate and fortunate, that everyone is treated as a human. I hope Kade tells Ana he loves her and they marry and have kids. I guess I'm a sap for happy endings.

book is very different, though I wish us readers could show respect for the author with gems along the way or with voting gems.... An author that just writes with so much detail without the bore of description of clothing....

Angel of the Lycan King

Angel of the Lycan King

Xander chuckled softly, his eyes gleaming with malicious delight. "Rescue, you say? Oh, how predictable. But know this, Dakota, the shadows are my ally. I command them, and they will be your undoing." As Xander finished speaking, the room plunged into darkness, enveloped by an inky blackness that seemed to devour all light. Dakota's heart raced as he relied on his acute senses to navigate through the void, his movements cautious yet purposeful.

Blood Contract with Alpha Werewolf

Blood Contract with Alpha Werewolf

After all, Ned could only trust this man at the moment. Surveying his surroundings, Ned saw that the forest was dark and gloomy, without a single ray of light. The leaves on the trees were covered with sharp hooks that could pierce anyone who touched them. Ned realized that this was the Dark Forest described in the book. This was the territory of the Dark Elves, who possessed the power of darkness and used it to oppose the light. The man noticed Ned's expression and knew exactly what he was thinking. He had telepathy and spoke first, "The Dark Elves here release dark energy that gradually corrupts the human mind, ultimately leading to a fall into the abyss of darkness."

DARK REALITY

DARK REALITY

Arthur slid into the passenger's seat of the cab that pulled up in front of him. Richard welcomed him with a grin. “It's freezing out here, man. What took you so long?“ “Sorry, bro. Just had to find the right outfit.“ Richard gestured at his outfit. Black, denim jacket. Black boot. Black gloves. Black hat. Black shades. “You look like you're on goddamn espionage.“ Arthur had zero sense of humor for the night. Something about racing through that door earlier today plunged him into a terrible mood.

Mine to Keep

Mine to Keep

I pour a drink, let the burn of it settle in my throat, and turn off the lights. In the dark, plans are easier to perfect. I mute the feeds but don’t kill them. I like the dark watching with me.

Forced to Marry My Stepbrother

Forced to Marry My Stepbrother

And the new security guard—his presence had set me on edge from the moment he arrived. “Let’s try not to overthink it,” Darcy said, though her voice lacked conviction. “Yeah,” I agreed, standing up. “Let me grab my things, and I’ll be right back.” I returned to my room, my unease growing with every step. As I entered, I noticed something was off. My drawer was slightly ajar, and my Kindle was open to a page I hadn’t been reading. My heart skipped a beat as I read the title on the screen: *The Death of You.*
