The more I think about it, the more it sounds like a one-way trip back to the institution. Honestly, I wouldn’t even blame them. I sound crazy. But somewhere in my gut, I know I’m not. I just need to convince everyone else. I squash the voice in the back of my head reminding me I was certain last time too and look for somewhere a little less exposed. KELLY'S POV The Library? Gush why on earth had I chosen a library of all places. But on a second thought, I'm glad I did choose the library. I walked into the school's gigantic library for the first time and I was marveled by the sight the loomed before me. The library , a magnificent space with towering shelves of books, soft reading nooks, and large oak tables, bathed in the gentle glow of reading lamps that cast a warm, inviting atmosphere. Wow. The university was a great one. I had looked it up online before then. Their major building had over three hundred lecture rooms, over ten administrative offices and other special rooms. 3 The library smelled like wet dust. That was the first thing I noticed, followed by the faint crackle of fluorescent lighting above me, flickering lightly. Which was fair, honestly. I hadn’t stepped foot in a university library since I dropped out of grad school, and back then I wasn’t exactly the occult section’s most loyal visitor.
