"You want me to embargo the Emperor? You are mad. He has Legions. He has the Shadow Guard. If I cut his supply lines, he will burn Oremond to the ground." "He needs Oremond," Tristan said. "He needs your factories. He can't burn you if he wants to rebuild his army." Tristan picked up the shard. He tossed it in the air and caught it. "But if you refuse... I will sell this to the rebels. To the Viper." Valerius flinched at the name. "They say the Viper is dead," Valerius whispered. "Crushed in the Spire." "They say a lot of things," Tristan said cryptically. "But imagine if the Rebel Army had armor made of this. The war would be over in a month."

I watch as he walks around to be in front of me and holds a curved dildo looking thing with a wide circle base. "This is the vibrator. It's remote controlled so I'll be able to turn up the intensity with this remote." He walks back around to my ass and I hear a bottle of lube being opened. I groan when the tip of the vibrator pushes into me. Daddy pushes it in slowly until the round base is nestled between my ass cheeks. I wait patiently as he sits back down and looks me in the eye.

“That will kill you.” He looks at me — really looks — and for a moment I see peace in his expression. “Maybe it’s time something ended.” “Axel, please—” But before I can reach him, the ground trembles. The sky splits open. And from the center of the ruins, a voice rises — cold, mechanical, familiar. > “Reboot complete.” I grab his arm, the wind tearing around us. “What’s happening?” He stares into the light ahead. “The world just remembered us.”

I heard the familiar voice of Gonzalo ring from behind me. Natasha jumps on my body, clutching her hands to my chest, as I try to shield her face from meeting his own. “Am I missing something here, Raul? If not, why is the first daughter of the house of Miklaus in the company of the rebel leader?” The bass of his voice rose as his eyes glowed angrily at us. The clouds crackled lightly, and soon the sky started to tear up.

Chapter 2: Rebel ~Wren~ I slink in through the loose shingles on the roof, softly landing in our makeshift hideout loft. It isn’t much, honestly, it looks like a child’s playhouse, but when all the outliers are beggars or thieves, it’s hard to come by nice things for a rebel headquarters. We are lucky that Ms. Grayford is deaf and never travels upstairs. Not that she would care if she did. She hates Alpha Alden as much as we all do.

“What are the settings?” Scorpion leaned over the tablet. “The drones are set to pick up all heat signals over the average human weight, but less than what we know to be the largest of our Dick’s weight so we won’t get many animals. There have been a few false alarms with some decent sized animals, but nothing has triggered the drones in our zone. That is how the three rebels that were taken in yesterday were located.”

In the far corner, was a messenger— the one who had probably brought the news about the rebellion. “You slapped me, Damien? Why? Because I said you should stop whining about your duties? Or because I told you to stop talking about that bitch?!” Lily immediately stood up, red her flaring about. She looked like a flame, with the way her face turned pink and ears pointed sharp. I was invisible to the rest of the pack members. Entering the hall, no one noticed me. What could have triggered this unrest in paradise? I was amused, I couldn't lie.

Maya cried out and Naya slapped her. "What's that for?" Maya glared at her. "To reset your brain. We didn't come here for this, behave Maya." Maya huffed and looked away, not throwing a fit anymore and finally going silent. "We need your help Jeremy," I faced him, and I became serious, taking a sit beside Naya. "What could you possibly need my help with?" He frowned, looking baffled. I exchanged smiles with the girls and they nodded in approval. "We are starting a rebel group and you're the only guy we're letting in on this," I informed him and he frowned.

While the investors signed, Herminia Greco watched everything from her studio through the closed circuit, a small smile appearing on her lips. "Satisfied, ma'am?" asked her assistant. "My grandson is finally reacting, even though the price was high." "Do you think he will find Mrs. Gia?" "No, and it's better this way. At least for now." Herminia sighed. In Austin, Dorian finished assembling the crib, it had taken him weeks, working every free moment he had, it was in oak wood. "It's beautiful, perfect." Gia whispered, running her hand along the bars. "The mobile is still missing, I'm carving little wooden animals." Dorian pointed up.

I was responsible not just to my parents' legacy, but for every employee who depended on Lane Enterprises for their livelihood. But there was more to life than just business. Penelope’s presence in my life was a reminder of that. She was the balance I needed, the grounding force in a life that often felt like it was spiraling out of control. With her, I could be Wyatt, not just Mr. Lane, the CEO. Sitting in my office, I stared at the document detailing a prototype for a weapon that utilized energy instead of traditional ammunition. It was a concept that seemed straight out of science fiction, something that would revolutionize warfare.
