The sharp, medicinal smell filled the small space, mixing with the faint salt air drifting in through the open window. He hissed through his teeth when the liquid hit the raw skin, small, involuntary flinch, but he didn’t pull away. His fingers curled slightly, then relaxed again, letting me work.
