I nod my agreement as she shoves the clamp into my hand. Rebecca returns to rummaging through cubbards as I slide my hand back into his stomach, finding the end of his vein. It is leaking blood profusely, and I try to put the clamp on quickly. It slips in my fingers, and a drop of blood splashes upwards with the impact. I can feel it burning into the skin on my neck, but I try to keep my focus on the clamp. Readjusting it in my hands, I put it on the end of his vein and wait for the blood flow to cease.

She finished. "What do you mean by a comprehensive check?" I queried. " I need to check every inch of her skin, for signs of a puncture. If it is what I think it is, then the puncture would have black veins running from it, by now. The black veins would be as tiny as threads for a needle and not as visible as normal black veins should be. Because this is the early stages." She explained. " What do you think this is?" " I think it's a blood enchantment."

“Mason? Are you okay?” He raises a hand in apology, then quickly turns and strides to the washroom next door. She watches the door swing shut behind him, concern tightening her face. Inside, Mason grabs the edge of the sink as another cough seizes him. It comes deeper, harder, and then, just like that, he feels something wet in his palm just as the bouts of coughing seize. He lowers his hand. Blood. Red, thick, crimson colored blood. He stares at it. The deep red contrast against his skin looks almost unreal, like paint, like some trick of the light. His breath catches as the weight of it sinks in.

She turned the vanity tap on, grabbed a flannel, and wet it. "I have no idea..." Jaxon breathed, watching Juliette wipe at her mouth. Juliette wanted to throw up suddenly. Blood was one her biggest fears, and seeing the stuff poor from her lip, especially when it's blue was just to much for her to bear. "Werewolves don't bleed blue!" Juliette shrieked. The flannel was soaked blue by now.' "I will get you something to stop the bleeding, just wait here and apply pressure." Jaxon disappeared to find something, leaving Juliette standing alone. The blood was so dark, it was alomost black, yet a thin layer of the stuff was blue.

The scene I was witnessing caused a lump to form in my throat, the trail of blood she had left behind, her milky white skin was now a pasty shade of grey with a blue tinge to her lips and she was unconscious yet again. So many questions streamed through my mind but I had to get her out, I pulled the needle out of her hand, a burning sensation travelled through my fingers “SHIT!” throwing the needle down “It’s fucking silver” As soon as the needle was removed, the wound on her arm slowly began knitting back together leaving a deep red line. Although the amount of blood she had lost was worrying.

The crimson liquid dripped off his fingertips and landed on the ground like an abandoned ink pen with ink cascading across the floor. He limped back to his car and wiped of the pieces of sharp glass from the broken window which were sitting onto the driver’s seat. “Ugh,” he winced as he perched down. Catching his breath, he peeled off his sleeve gently, revealing his blood-filled knife cut wound on his arms, the uneven chunks of flesh laid disorderly in the horrifying wound. The skin surrounding was red, a sharp contrast to his skin.

I turned to Rue whilst Aien took the water away. “I am fine,” Rue said but did not reveal his arm. “You do not have to…” I gripped his wrist, and he cried out in pain. His fingertips were blue around the nails and cold to the touch. He did not stop me from unwinding the bandage, his eyes closing as he set his head back onto the cushions. The last layer came away sticky, peeling away the skin, and we both drew in a shuddering breath, his in pain and mine in horror. Rue’s arm had blackened along the lines of his vein whilst the blood had oozed like ink…

Deep breaths.” I was hearing his words but I couldn’t calm down. I kept on coughing onto the towel, turning it red instantly. Fear rushed over me as I saw more blood. Where is it coming from?

The iden comes in a flow now, as I order it to restore blood flow. Color returns to the arm, and gradually to his face.

Damn. My heart pounds frantically in my chest as I feel something wet and sticky between my legs. With trembling hands, I reach down, my fingers coming away slick with crimson, the metallic scent of blood filling the air. God, why am I bleeding? Horror washes over me as I realize what's happening, and I feel bile rise in my throat, threatening to choke me. The blood continues to flow, staining the pristine floor beneath me in dark, ominous streaks, a stark contrast against the polished surface.
