Shh, little wolf
The book slowly slipped from my grasp, my head nodding back to rest against the headboard as I drifted off into sleep.

The moon was full and high in the air. I ran through the woods in human form, my hair flying wildly behind me. I called up my wolf, bracing for the power of the shift when I heard the sounds of growls behind me as large paws crushed against the debris on the earth.
I turned, fear and shock running, freezing my limb at the sight of the large wolf. Its form distinctly resembled that of my wolf, except for the fact that instead of my wolf’s brown eyes, its eyes were red.
