Mr. Grayson put the scroll back in the box and clutched it to his chest. He nodded. “Let’s go.” We turned to leave. But, before we could take any more steps, the temperature in the room dropped. Ice frost began to creep up the walls and a thick fog began to form around our feet. "The curse is manifesting," Zel gasped out. "Run!"

The Curse King’s voice lowered, becoming more sinister. “You’ve shown spirit, but this—” He brought his hands together, leaving a small gap between them, and within that space, the orb began to grow, pulsating with an ominous red glow. The air around it seemed to warp and darken, a suffocating aura filling the room. “This is where your suffering truly begins,” the Curse King said with a dark chuckle. “I hope you can still walk after this. I may not kill you… but I will make your life a living nightmare.”
