Dark blue grey choppy swells, cool breezes, salty mixes with barbeque smoke pouring from the grill. Pink ribbons line the deck fencing, with bows marking each post. Melody has set up additional tables for food, the cakes and presents, all with frilly white, purple and pink, table cloths. The lavender cake is three layers, lemon, and buttercream icing decorated with a fondant crown. Melody ordered it from a nearby bakery shop. It sits on the folding table beside the punch bowl and the paper plates printed with small gold crowns.

Chef Steven pointed to the tray. "You need to make something with that as the main ingredient. The catch? Only four or five ingredients allowed. You have exactly twenty minutes. The guest is still on the appetizer, so work fast," he said before turning and walking out the door.
