"What are you reading?" Isn't he being overly friendly? How extroverted is this guy? The corner of his lips twitched a bit as he read the title. This didn't go unnoticed by Ryder who felt her inner bookworm awaken. "Have you read it before?" The book was rather thick, and the number of pages usually scared people away... and by people, I mean "uncultured lads" who didn't like reading. The cover of the book was a bit damaged even though the title "The Ashen Soul" looked as good as new and the pages felt old to the touch from the overusing. There were stick notes and bookmarks every few pages.

The library was quiet, the afternoon sunlight filtering through the stained-glass windows. Anna sat alone at the far corner, the mysterious book, The Reflection Game, spread open before her. Her finger traced the intricate designs on the yellowed pages, her heart pounding with both excitement and unease.
