I could feel my cheeks flushing with embarrassment, but I pushed that feeling aside and focused on my task. After a few breaths, I disengaged, gasping for air, and positioned myself to go again. This time, I added a touch of dark magic to the air that I breathed into Rowland's lungs. I could feel the magic flowing from me into him, filling him with the energy he needed to awaken. As I continued my resuscitation efforts, I could see Rowland's body starting to respond. His chest started to rise and fall as he breathed in the air I was giving him, and I could see the color returning to his face.

"Security, please escort this person out. If someone lets a visitor like this through again, don't bother coming in." Two guards stepped in and peeled Cassie off the floor, steering her firmly toward the door. "Erin! I hope you rot in hell! You let this happen! You watched and did nothing!" Her voice echoed through the hallway, getting smaller and smaller until it was gone. I turned and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window. Below me, the city moved and hummed, all traffic and light and people with somewhere to be. The afternoon sun came in without apology, burning off the last shadow that previous life had left behind.

That's why I'm going to have a sit-down and see whether I want to deal or not. I wondered what it would be like, to focus on something else for once. To look forward to living when I'd been so hellbent on dying. Knowing that you'd lived past the day you thought you were going to be dead is an odd feeling. It doesn't feel so much like borrowed time but a rebirth.

Many medical students may not recognize this thing anymore, as it has long been lost. Lorraine had also seen it in the ancient book given by her grandfather. The ancient book was a diary, my grandfather said it was a family heirloom of the Turner family. However, she didn't bring it recently, the book is still left in the Mercer's mansion. But she was certain that she would not admit her mistake. "Resurrection grass, my goodness, is this the herb that is said to revive the dying?" "And there is also the soul-soothing herb, a miraculous medicine that can bring clarity to those who have lost their souls. Where did Grandfather get it from?"

"Help! Someone, help me!" I heard loud cries for help. When I opened my eyes, I was back to the day my mom's foster daughter, Edith Kellie, jumped into the river. My mother, Evelyn Newbury, leaned over the railing, her heart sinking and rising with Edith. In my previous life, Evelyn had jumped in without hesitation, only for Edith to push her head underwater. The result? Evelyn had drowned, while Edith had been saved.

Finally, he waved and told them to take me to the dungeon. "Don't worry, Anna. I'll get to the bottom of this." I nodded. "I trust you, honey." The dungeon was cold and lifeless. Most of the prisoners were humans who had fought back. They were ones called demon hunters. Because I was Logan's wife, they threw me into a separate cell. I persuaded the guard outside to leave me alone with just a few words. That was when I saw the bloodied man not far away. "Don't die. I know you're a demon hunter, and you were caught when spying. But don't worry. I'll rescue you, and I'll even take your place. I'll make an even better spy than you."

The system responded instantly a soft hum, a pulse of light. A voice, faint and synthetic, echoed through hidden speakers: “Welcome, Elena Vaughn.” I stumbled back. “No… no, that’s impossible.” The voice continued, calm and eerie: >“Authorization confirmed. Sequence incomplete. Awaiting command.” Tears blurred my vision. “What are you?” But part of me already knew. Project Rebirth. Not a machine. A resurrection. A system designed to preserve and restore human consciousness. And somehow, it recognized me. My knees nearly gave out. My death my second chance it wasn’t divine fate. It wasn’t luck.

I closed my eyes for a moment, letting the shadows stretch further into the hallway. They slid beneath doors, climbed along the ceilings, and slipped around corners like silent smoke. Through them, I saw him. Maxwell stood in the center of the corridor, turning slowly as he searched the empty prison. His face was twisted with fury. Behind him walked several robed men, their expressions tense and uncertain. And in Maxwell’s hands… The book. The same manuscript I had seen earlier in the ritual chamber. The one meant to resurrect the dead. His fingers gripped it tightly, the ancient pages rustling as he moved.

Soon, the air was clear of smoke and Amren immediately collapsed on the cold floor. Rhysand lay on the bed while Amren lay on the floor. The room quiets down after witnessing the forbidden ritual take place under their watch, the book of Resurrection on the table. Cold air blew into the room and flung open the chapters of the book, Witch Resurrection Dose. There the chapter of the book was written. "The Consequences of This Ritual is the exchange of the witch's life....INTERCHANGE OF DEATH AND LIFE....The Doer Dies, The Dead comes back to life"
