A yip that became a roar of agonized distress as Rhye grabbed him by the hair and tossed him across what appeared to be a kitchen. Rhye watched the slender man smack painfully into the wall, leaving a trail of blood as he crumpled to the floor. "I told you, Garnarld I will kill you." He hissed. The demon lived, but before Rhye could concentrate on yanking the bastard’s heart out, there was the sound of footsteps from outside the house. Bending down, Rhye yanked out the silver-bladed blades he always kept hidden in his boots. A part of him might appreciate the thought of ripping apart his adversaries with his bare hands, but bloodlust didn’t equal stupidity.

He raised his sword and cut Goryo’s hand but the sword suddenly breaks. “Huh? Impossible,” Therens thought looking at the half blade on the ground. Goryo suddenly punch him and he flung and hit the wall. The wall was cracked as Therens spilled some blood, but he still manages to stand up and grab a silver dagger from his pocket. He ran towards Goryo as he step into the wall and dive behind Goryo’s nape. Therens suddenly stabbed his nape with the dagger. “Ah! What is that?! It hurts!” Goryo screamed as he keeps on wiggling trying to grab Therens from behind. Therens immediately jump down with the dagger in his hand full of Goryo’s blood dripping on the ground.

I push off the floor and go low, aiming for the space under his ribs where armor would slow a reaction. My hand closes on the blade hidden in my sleeve. The motion is clean. Familiar. I strike upward. He moves at the same time. His hand snaps around my wrist with precise timing. The blade stops inches from his body. There’s no struggle. Just sudden stillness, like hitting an invisible wall. I try to twist free. He doesn’t let me. His grip is firm, but careful. He adjusts his hold instead of tightening it, shifting my wrist so the angle won’t break anything. That detail registers even as I fight it.
