He mumbles, looking down at his desk. “I’m glad to hear that. Now, if that’s the case, can you please be Ainsley’s helper and introduce her to everyone this week?” She sounds nicer now. “Alright, Miss Ratner.” His eyes brighten up. He looks at me and smiles, “Hi! I’m Riley.” He has straight blonde hair that comes down to his chin. It’s a little tangled and looks like straw. I don’t think he brushed it this morning. He has hazel eyes and tan skin. He’s missing a couple of teeth that make his smile look funny.

But we both were over six feet tall and sported firm lean muscles from intense training and rigorous workouts. We are like night and day. Riley is the wild type and has been a detective, solving more criminal cases locally over the years than any other detective in his department. Since my earlier days, I have decided to enter the entertainment industry, and a few other business ventures I have going on that have become pretty successful ever since my father denounced me as his heir many years ago.

Riley. The door flew open, her little feet pattering as she rushed inside, her doll clutched tight in her hands. Her wide eyes froze on us, confusion spreading across her face. “What’s happening? Are you two playing with your hands? That's not allowed. You know that, Uncle Darius.” I released Liam instantly, straightening my shirt with a smirk as he staggered back, breathing hard. And then Bianca appeared behind Riley. Her eyes widened the second they landed on Liam. For a split second, she froze, lips parting, the same pathetic glimmer of longing flashing across her face that I’d seen years ago.

“I am not going to worry about that right now. All I want is a pack of magical little pills so that I can hump her son whenever I feel like it, sans babies. Do you understand?” Talia sighed in defeat. “Fine. It’s your delivery room, not mine.” . “Can I take your picture?” Riley was leaning against the wall, his right leg bent behind him and propped on the brick exterior. He looked at her, frowning for a second, and then his lips turned upwards into a knowing smirk. “Why? Want to carry around a shot of this beauty wherever you go?” He used the hand holding the cigarette to gesture to himself, sweeping it over his body. A trail of gray smoke followed his movements.

When she saw Riley still busy taking care of her, she could only resign herself and close her eyes. Only when Riley stood up did Alessia voice the thoughts of everyone present. "Brother, can you explain what's going on between you and Bianca?" As Alessia spoke, Riley seemed to realize there were others present. He pushed his glasses up, straightened his clothes, and only after tidying himself up, did he turn to Grandma Carter, Brenda, Dominic, and the others, bowing formally to them. "Old Lady Carter, Mrs. Carter, I—Riley Sinclair, formally request that you marry Bianca to me."

Alice screamed when someone kicked over the table, grabbing their attention away from the wanton destruction. Now that she could see them, Alice wasn't convinced Adam's presence would make much difference. Riley stood over her, maybe six foot eight with a strong build and broad shoulders. Two of his companions—also wielding bats—were of similar stature. The other guy—presumably Felix—was only slightly smaller and dressed smartly in black as opposed to the grey hoodie and sweatpants look his mates sported. Instead of smashing the place up, he sat on the work surface, watching, no weapon in his hands. Riley leered down at her with a maniacal grin.
