She exhaled shakily, eyes unfocused as the memory came back sharp and vivid. “But then he turned, and I saw it, the ring. A black stone set in silver. I recognized it instantly.” Her throat constricted, and she swallowed hard before continuing. “One of their higher-ups wore it the night of the fire.”
Callaghan’s pen stopped mid-motion, his brow furrowing. “The warehouse fire in Eastwood?”
