I asked, raising an eyebrow. “Smoke bombs,” she corrected. “They’ll buy us some time I took them in our last encounter with them.” She set to work, placing the bombs along the edge of the ridge while I checked my rifle. Isabel hovered near Diego, her eyes darting between him and the forest below. “This is insane,” she muttered.
