“There! Someone’s there!” Crossbow bolts whistled. One grazed his shoulder. My heart hammered inside my chest, my fingers tightened around the binocular. qHe ducked behind a stack of storage crates, pulled a smoke bomb from his belt, and shattered it against the stone. The alley filled with dense grey fog. I almost couldn't make out his figure through the smoke but I saw a figure running and so I knew that he had used it as a cover, slipping out and sprinting for an underground secret exit.

The two clones followed behind, each dragging a corpse or two with them. While Tank and Asura went about their jobs of attracting the swarm of wasps, Kirou had moved to a different clearing in the forest to set up his trap.
