Phoenix's voice boomed, I clenched my hand and blinked in shock. "What do you care?!" Ash stood, he stood in front of Phoenix, sneering. Phoenix's face screams rage, his forehead furrowed, his jaw irritated and tense. Ash eyed him, almost hitting his shoulder but the latter didn't move, and since Phoenix was taller, he didn't move when Ash hit him. "Shut up, what's your problem ?!" Ash retorted. Drax Pov I stride in the hospital, only stopping at the reception and asking for Elysia. “Room 104— My feet moved before my thoughts could catch up. I only stop when I see Zion with Ian in the Hallway, outside her room. A nurse walks out from the room. Zion nods at her before stepping in the room. As the nurse walks in my direction, I stop her. “How is she? Elysia?” I ask. “Her vitals are normal. No serious damage to her lungs but light burns on her back. She will heal normally like humans. You can see her. She is up” She informs then excuses herself.

I shake my head while watching in complete shock and awe at what Phoenix is capable of. “No Papa! She is mine! She tried to take my Gunnar! She almost killed my Kitty and my Daddy twying to kill my Mumma Raben!” Phoenix’s furious scream nearly sounds demonic when she reaches Valery who screams in pain. Looking closer I can see her skin is burning from the heat radiating from Phoenix, making her name all the mor appropriate. She has risen from the ashes, literally, and is burning so hot she scorches the ground beneath her.

“Who the fuck says I wasn’t? I fucking bled to death in your arms! It’s just that—” Zedekiel sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Alaric, did his death truly shock you that much? Phoenixes don’t die permanently. They always rise from their ashes, remember?” The other phoenixes who had turned into ashes, also rose since their King had risen. They had all been waiting for him. The realization struck Alaric like lightning and his sorrow instantly flipped to fury. He stormed up and landed a solid punch across Talon’s grinning face, sending him flying.

“I didn’t realize phoenixes trained like wolves.” Nalia crossed her arms. “We do when there’s something worth fighting for.” She gave him a look that said you before moving on. The path curved toward a spiraling tower that hovered several feet off the ground, supported by heatwaves and magic alone. It shimmered like glass dipped in sunlight. “The Spire of Ash,” she said. “It’s the main library and archive. It holds every prophecy, spell, and historical record of the phoenixes. If it was said, written, or set on fire, it’s stored there.”

“Wait. I know why Arizona. We are going to Pheonix City. Aren’t we?” It is me who is surprised now. I stopped walking right before the escalator, “How do you know?” There is a grin with so much of self pride flashed at me. “I did my homework. Mrs Kingsley raised a brow. “Who?” Jasmine hesitated. “Selena ” Everything went silent. Mrs Kingsley stood slowly. “What did you just say?” “I saw Selena,” Jasmine repeated, her voice low. “She’s alive, She was walking down the hallway in Damon Williams’ mansion, She looked healthy ”

He asked, looking up at me, his brow arching. "Yeah, I can feel it, but Cedric did say it would respond to the royal bloodline. Maybe it isn't specific to the which bloodline." I explained, turning my attention back to my mate. Alora traced the images that had been carved into the wood, her brows pinching together.
