I yelled drawing all the attention I needed. The man behind me froze, his unwanted touch falling. Jim gave a severe look at him, “Excuse me, sir, what the hell do you think you are doing to this young lady?” I really didn’t like being called a young lady, but my saviour Jim could call me that any day. I was breathing heavily with Jim beside me and I got a good look at the man. He was wearing a leather jacket that had spikes at the bottom of it. His hair was a close shave, a military cut if I was going to guess, and his trousers were the only thing normal about him, just jeans that any guy would wear.

They consisted of a simple white blouse, a long brown skirt, and, to my surprise, a pair of brown boots with low heels. I hesitated. I had never been allowed to wear shoes before. These looked like they would fit me, but I found the laces intimidating. Taking a chance, I pulled the boots on and cinched the laces tight, frowning as I wiggled my feet within their tight leather confines. It was an odd sensation, but it sparked a flare of defiance in me. Stumbling a little in my new boots and wincing as I put all of my weight into my injured leg, I hobbled to the door and opened it. Rhys was waiting in the hallway for me, my guards from last night nowhere in sight.

We left the three shoe stores with four pairs of boots, so not quite the one for each day of the week like Jake had suggested, but I could work on that… seeing Lilah’s face light up at something as simple as boots melted my heart… though if them boots stood on my feet my heart would not me melting, I would be cursing! They were big and chunky and far from lady like, but she loved them, they made her happy so it made me happy. There were a brown pair with thick chunky soles, which reached up to her knees, buckles up her calves. The other three pairs were black with similar variations in chunky soles - all that I knew was if it stood on your toe it would likely crush it….one pair was an ankle

I snap. "That's not happening." His eyes turn darker and nothing seem scarier than him right now. "You will stay right here, with me." He furrows his brow in anger. "With this disgusting person." He now smirks. "Let go of me Collins." I struggle harder this time. What's up with him. He does nothing but widen his smirk. My heartbeat fastens. I want to leave here as soon as possible. I swallow hard then look down at my knee. I look up at him then without thinking twice, I do what females do best in such situations. I raise my knee and kick his balls.

"Shift once while wearing them and bye bye boots." I give him a small shoulder push to get him moving. Once he's settled, I twist around, bringing my legs up, and begin pulling on the leather. I can tell as soon as my feet slide home that they fit perfectly. "They don't look any different than the military boots I gave you." "Sacrilege." I run my fingers over the leather. "These babies have PVC air-cushioned soles. They're indestructible." King whistles. "One emergency Shadow Warrior shift and you'll discover you shouldn't be too excited about footwear, and when that happens, no footwear is indestructible."

For someone who supposedly has her head screwed on tight I'm sure making myself look like a fool. Screw it, I'm leaving. I might spend my life missing out but I'm sure as hell no cliché. I grab my purse and turn around to leave when I bump into this hard, warm body. I lose my balance on these dumb heels my friends made me wear. As I feel I'm beginning to fall, the hard body reclaims me by grabbing my hip and pulling me flush against his body. That scent. That woody, manly scent. I can get lost in it and drift off.

The leather soles of his riding boots were completely dry, with only a light dusting of gray pine ash on the edges. "The river bank is fifty yards of thick, heavy mud," I said, standing up and sweeping my arm toward the river. "Look at all of us. Look at your warriors, Nora. Look at Asher. We are caked in black mud up to our knees just from standing here. If Jarek crossed that river on foot to raid your barn, why is there not a single speck of river mud on his boots?" A quiet murmur broke out among the twenty Black Moon warriors behind us.

ADDIE POV I got dressed in my new outfit. Wolf was right, it wasn’t leather. It was actually really soft and really stretchy, and it felt good on my body. The boots weren’t exactly my style, but I could fight in them. They were a square heel, like a combat boot, and laced up my calf. `They were definitely sexy in an industrial sort of way. I put on the hood with the mask and only my eyes showed. I tucked my braid behind everything so that no one could grab it. I was ready, so I left the locker room and met Damian and Wolf out on the floor.

On hers initiative she walked backwards, praying that she had just seen the wrong mistake and got out of this situation as quickly as possible. "Do you still remember me? Smart too… " said Rudolf with a grin showing his cunning. "W—what do you want to do?" Bella asked warily. She squeezed hers sling bag hard. "I guess you can guess what I want to do for yourself ..." He said casually, while behind him, there were two people who seemed to be the man's subordinates. "Do not come close!" shrieked Bella as the man stretched him foot more and more toward her. Made Rudolf who heard it laugh softly.
