“Give me one.” She glanced up innocently. “Nah. Gotta save it for the live show.” I groaned. “You are no help.” “I’m amazing help. I just help with flair.” I shook my head, trying not to smile. “What did I do in a past life to deserve this level of chaos?” Robin shrugged, sipping from her water. “Something heroic. Or really stupid. Could go either way.” We were quiet for a second, then she said, “Hey... worst case, they don’t get along. So what? We still have each other. And tequila. And maybe a YouTube video if someone records the showdown.”

Blood sprayed across the stone. He released the body and before it had even finished falling, he rotated to meet the second attacker, catching its foreleg and snapping it with one brutal twist before slamming it into the ground and finishing it. The third and fourth rogues hesitated. That hesitation cost them. Robin didn’t wait for them to recover. He was already moving, his jaws locking around the neck of one of them—he slammed it repeatedly against the ground until it stopped moving entirely. The fourth turned to run. It didn’t make it three steps.

Robin smiled and pulled me along with him as Ryan chuckled behind as I struggled, but Robin gripped my hands tightly and it hurt more so I gave up struggling. They wouldn't kill me, would they? We kept on planting viruses on their back end…" Once Naomi started to think of the time they worked together, a relaxing smile finally appeared on her face. Robin also felt relieved.
