“Alright, round two,” he says, his grin widening.
This time, I’m sure I’ve got him figured out. He went with rock last time, so he’ll definitely switch to paper. I throw scissors without hesitation.
“Rock, paper, scissors!”
My scissors meet his rock. Again.
My jaw drops. “There’s no way! You’re cheating, aren’t you?”
He laughs, shaking his head. “Come on, Elara. I might pull all sorts of tricks, but you know I don’t need to cheat at something as simple as rock, paper, scissors. Maybe you’re just not as good as you think.”
