I chose not to respond to Eliz discussing it. My eyes are drawn to a book that is located at the end of the shelf. There was only a candle as lighting for the bookshelf. "Eliz? Why is this shelf different from other shelves? "I asked. Eliz then whispered very carefully, "This is an unreadable book. I mean, it's still difficult to understand. You will not be able to open this book. It only chooses hands that have a certain energy," eliz explained.

We are trying to work a protection spell over a few safe houses, I have a spell from this book 'White magic for times of war' It seemed pretty straight forward, but now..." I jump straight into the issue, knowing that neither of us has time to waste at the moment. Ri'elle sighs "Okay, what is the book telling you to offer up as a trade?"

I gritted out. “Very good, brother. Father said you would find his favorite book where fire burns and courage lies.” Fuck! “A fucking riddle?” I asked, frustrated. “Yes, Brother. Good luck!” He said and ended the call.

“That's the law of nature. You have to lose something to gain something.” My brows pull as I try to register her words. What exactly does she mean? “I will help you solve the riddle in that book only on one condition,” I blink, my lips parting . How did she know there's a riddle? As if the questions swirling in my mind make themselves visible on my face, she smiles. Her lips pulling upwards, somehow softening her features. “I have read all the books in the pack library.” I can't help the throaty sound that slips from my lips.

I say gifted because it literally fell out of the shelf packed with fantasy and folklore books, and right on top of my head as we walked past. The title makes my theory even more concrete. "You're awfully invested in that book. What exactly are you looking for?" At the sound of her voice, I raise my head, locking eyes on her slitted pair. I fake a smile and flip the book shut with far more force than is necessary.
