Eliza's POV I sat comfortably on the sofa in my room in the palace as some of the maids gave me manicures and pedicures. A facial mask was also on my face when ok of my maids walked into the room. “Lady Eliza.” She said and I hummed. “His Majesty is holding a general meeting to make a special announcement in the hall in thirty minutes.” I secretly wondered what it might be. “Be done with the manicures as soon as you can. I need to attend the meeting.” I said to them, inwardly smiling. There was no doubt that he would either want to announce an event or make my child the crown prince.

My hand holding the door shut is a bit of an empty threat. “I’m going to meet your children, Everleigh,” the Prince says softly. “And come up with a plan.” I narrow my eyes at him for a moment, trying to see if I’ve missed something – if he really knows - but then I sigh and drop my arm, letting him in.
