A growl rippled through the line. “This is our home,” I continued, my voice growing louder, steadier. “Our families. Our pack. That thing in the mist? That is not our Alpha. That is not our blood. I am your Luna. Damon is your Alpha. And we are still standing. We are all going to stand, we are all going to fight until the very end of this, no matter what is to happen.” I pointed to the creatures writhing at the treeline.

The rage in his eyes burning into his. "So you want to die a captain?" Gavin asked him with a smile. Chris was confused and as Gavin stepped towards him he loosened his grip on Morgan. Morgan smirked. Gavin caught the smirk just before Morgan threw her head back into Chris's groin. Chris dropped his sword and his hands went to cup his manhood. As he went down Morgan snatched his sword turning into him. She dropped to the deck laying flat on her back. Laying on the cold deck of the Evening Star, Morgan slammed the sword into Chris' stomach. He went forward impaling himself further. Blood poured out of Chris' mouth as he gave his last gurgles. The blood landed beside Morgan's head splashing up

He chuckles, "Oh, but you are. “How? How come I'm being forced into this? "The only person Rory cares about is you. Let me give you a brief description of Rory: he lacks fear. He will pass away contently because he never feared that man. The only way to win over a guy like that is by appealing to his passions; before his parents passed away, it was you. He stares at the house as he speaks, so I click the buttons. I have a brief window of time to make the call. He turns back to stare at me as I swipe the red bar as soon as it appears and tuck my hand behind my back.

Broken promises. You mutter to yourself to keep unseen, yet you’re the loudest thing in the room. Loud enough that animals you’ve only seen in nightmares can hear you breathing.” The words knocked the air from my lungs. “Stop.” “I can’t.” His jaw stiffened. “Because the second that mark lit up on your arm, you stopped being invisible. You stopped being safe.”

Rory interrupted. “Who exactly are you to interrupt a conversation between alphas?” Norman demanded, his nostril flaring in anger. “Rory Stevens, former medic to the assassin’s guild of Cerathe.” She smiled brightly, dropping a file folder on the table. “The assassin’s guild.” Norman snorted. “That’s a myth. Something we tell our children about to keep them in line.”

Could it be that his mysterious SSS-level file identity was really true? At this moment, Rory couldn't hold on any longer. He stumbled back and spat out a mouthful of blood, half of his body charred. "I am the Sovereign Grandmaster of Thunder! I am a formidable figure on the Savant Arts Ranking! How could I lose to a small fry like you?!" Rory clutched his chest, and it felt like his lungs were on fire. "I simply underestimated you. Come on, let's go again! I'll kill you this—"

It may seem harsh but given all the changes I have implemented to make the pack a better pack with which people wanted to ally themselves, forcing people into the life of a rogue was a small price to pay. Being a neighbouring pack with Moon Shadow held its advantages too. I had made sure they were the first alliance I secured given that Darkness and Moon Shadow had been enemies for longer than anyone cared to remember. Though since Jayson still hasn't returned from wherever it is he has disappeared to, it was a friendship which was really beginning to struggle now.
